Watch out! The box says that the modem works under Vista. However, Vista Home Premium does not come with Fax software. The Fax software that comes on a CD with the modem, Communicate! does >not< install under Windows Outlook 64-bit.
Customer support at Zoom confirmed that Converse! does not work under Outlook 64.
At least one of the shareware ($20 after 30-day trial) folks also states that this modem doesn’t work well on receiving faxes.

Not much to say if you need to use dial up this will get you on line
but dont expect speeds as quick as a built in modem.

I bought this modem and sent it to my brother, he lives in Cuba, dial-up alacrity connection, and he was very, very pleased when he installed to his Dell laptop studio, Outlook and then Windows 7, it works exact!!! Brilliant Modem, A+++, I highly recommend it!!!

I bought this for a friend who is running Windows 7 on a laptop and has situations where she has only dialup.
Five minutes from opening the box, we had the laptop online via land line.

While simple to install this external modem, getting it to work with Windoews 7 has been a nightmare- multiple phone calls and e-mails because the manual does not address Windows 7 and several opinions on installation were received. My unenthusiastic feelings are du to the terrible lack of support. EWF
