It’d be a splendid product if it had come with the installation CD. I can’t get my xbox to connect online and it sucks.

my kids blew their hard-earned cash on this. it would not work with two different access points without gacking up and freezing the game, even when I ran the access points to with 4′ of the xbox. then I ran a cable the rest of the way to test, and lo, the xbox ran gorgeous. pulled out an ancient 10Mbit Wifi Cat-5 drop from Buffalo, plugged a small cable into the drop and the Xbox, and WIRELESS, MICROSOFT-less charming as silk, and MSFT doesn’t know any better. Mfgrs are just ripping kids off and with stuff that doesn’t work.

I don’t know whether to give a clear review or unenthusiastic review.
I upgraded from the ancient wireless receiver and immediately experienced better on-line performance from my xbox. I used to periodically experience lag, but when I got the new adapter I didn’t anymore. CODMW2 and HD netflix streaming both worked splendid.
Then about a week after I received the new wireless receiver it simply bunged effective. I’ve tried plugging into all the different USB ports, and the light on the front doesn’t come on at all. The xbox doesn’t even recognize that there is anything plugged in. The ancient receiver still works, but doesn’t quite cut it, so I’m left having spent a total of $140 on wireless receiving for my xbox with one substandard product and one product that simply doesn’t work.
I wish Microsoft would place a small more time into testing and development before they release glitch-ridden harvest. And I wish they cared about their customers a small more. Why was the first wireless adapter even released? They could have just made it as excellent as this one.
Now I’m mandatory to find out how to return an opened product (not sure if I even can do this) or buy another $90 wireless adapter, because I cannot run CAT9 cable in my apartment.
Thanks Microsoft. Your greed astounds me.
