I received this on Christmas Eve (just in time) after a couple of delays that was no fault to Amazon and was surprised both excellent and terrible.
Pros:
The weighted feel
Different turbo options and the breeze to set them
360 button light alert when you get an xbox life alert
D-Pad for fighting/arcade sports meeting
The 6 button side by side design for fighting sports meeting
The modified shape for performance
Cons
The sticks are light, making FPS sports meeting hard to play even with the sensitivity set very low
The shape of the controller, excellent and terrible, feels awkard for the first 5+ hours; once you’re used to it, it’s gold
I figured if that’s the only nitpicking things I can come up with then it’s a pretty excellent product. It does, but, feel a tad cheap and going to fall apart in my hand. If it does just that, I’ll update this review but it’s getting at least 8 hours a day out of it compared to the me and the people I live with.
Being the only one I know that bought a turbo 360 controller, my friends quickly snatched it up to try using it on xbox live. I will gladly clear up any questions about that.
I’m pleased to say, UFC submissions are not enhanced with this. My brother tried many times and it does not work, thank God.
A majority of the guns on Halo do not have recoil that would be altered by the 5x option (lowest). We did try the SMGs and it did help, but recoil was still present.
On CoD:MW2, the only gun that I tried was the Fal that was effected. It was pretty amusing watching it fire like an automatic assault rifle but otherwise useless.
So, I’m pleased to say that this controller will not give anyone an unfair competitive edge on the above things; the the enhancements for fighting sports meeting is just excellent taste, not cheating. By and large, I’m pleased with what it does and the design to not ruin sports meeting for people but still get the functionality.

Turbo works pretty excellent but I do not like the added 2 face buttons for LB & RB.
They are too close to the regular face buttons and the buttons are small.
They improved the Analog Sticks and Thumb Pad from the original.
The Trigger and Bumper buttons are improved slightly but still not very excellent.
If you play alot of Street Fighter or sports meeting like that then it would be worth getting used to the layout.
But, just like the original HoriPad, I was a small dissapointed and finished up selling it on Ebay.

So my controller finally came yesterday and i was finally able to play 2d platformers in peace. The whole controller is built and feels real nice in my hands. The d pad feels nearly exact and the button layout is awesome for some street fighter. The analog sticks do feel a bit loose when playing with them but i guess you can get used to them. It’s got different settings for their sensitivity, but I usually had it on the lowest setting so that i can walk instead of run in 3d sports meeting. I’m not really into the shooter genre like COD or anything like that, so I don’t reflect i’ll really be using the controller for that. Though this will be the only controller i use for playing 2d sports meeting such as mega man 9, bionic commando rearmed, sonic, etc.
The turbo was pretty cool to use in mega man 9 when i place it on the mega buster to shoot multiple shots with one press of the x button, but i don’t really see myself using much of this function for any game though, but it being there is cool…i guess. I only wanted it for having an awesome d pad, and this is well worth the cash for me. Only complaint i have is the residency of the brilliant button. While playing mega man, it was hard to reach the button without bumping the analog stick around, moving it between different weapons, but i can get used to it, also the back buttons feel kinda amusing. All in all, I’m glad i bought it…so Get Glad, not Mad…or no matter what.

We all know the d-pad on the official Xbox 360 controller is crap. But hiding in the shadow of its suckiness is another dirty secret for the console — trigger buttons.
Let me get this out of the way: I don’t like first-person shooters. I don’t play first-person shooters. But since Microsoft thinks EVERYONE plays the bleeding things, all licensed controllers for the Xbox 360 have to have these very literal “triggers.” I don’t know how any FPS fans out could there prefer these huge slow fimsy switches to the near instantaneous response time of a face button.
On the PlayStation(s), the R1 and R2 positions are buttons. Unadorned, durable buttons. But Microsoft’s design way of life has mandatory peripheral makers to build hardware with all the comfort and ease of use of a outcome’s cap pistol.
So, what does that have to say about this controller? By and large it was brilliant for playing Bayonetta, which is a game that is utterly dependent on the right trigger button (you need to mash it nearly constantly during gameplay). And due to some more boneheaded design choices, buttons cannot be reassigned in the game.
Less that a month after I got this controller, the right trigger broke.
So thanks, Microsoft, Sega and Hori for your combined crappiness in design.

Excellent solid construction….does take some getting used to as the layout of the buttons is different. simple to program the turbo button. As a side not the only real downside I can find with the controller is that the buttons are smaller than a oem controllers buttons.
