Like any other game in the sries winning eleven eight puts a strong emphasis on gameplay, and being a huge fan of the sport i appreaciate that fact. But once again the lack of licensing brings the sports meeting presentation down by the side of with visuals that cant compare to the fifa series. I have been buying both fifa and winning eleven 8 sports meeting side by side for a long time, and every year i delight in fifa more. While i can know why this game is said to be better then fifa and is pereffered by gamers it still doesnt work for a statistical buff like me who finds licensing to be an vital part of ne soccer game.

I’m an American Living in England and FOOTBALL is huge here. This is as close as football gets to perfection on a video game. i apreciate you smart americans who delight in the gorgeous game as much as the rest of the world. It is a passionable game far ahead of NFL,NBA,MLB and NHL sorry but its the truth. They are excellent and all, but don’t have the history and passion of football. I recently read an article in a Tampa Bay newspaper claiming that football is the dull sport on the face of the planet. Wise up USA this is the best sport in the world cycle. Anyways i want to thank you people who have bought this game as it symbolises a right fans understanding of the game which I, my friends, the whole of Europe and the rest of the world delight in. For you spectics who nit pick the fact that the teams outside Serie A (Italy), La Liga (Spain) and the Dutch League are unlincensed, it just underlines the fact you do not know football and probably never will. Excellent luck America continue to promote football your side of the pond. You’ve still got a long way before MLS is close to the quality of the Premiership in England. Thank you to those who gave this game 5 stars in their reviews particulary the guy who reviewed it against Fifa, well played.

I haven’t gotten this game yet because I can’t choose between Fifa 2005 and this. If anyone has any points that weren’t mentioned either way, I want to hear them. Also, if someone who has this game could answer a question for me: Does Winning Eleven 8 have Major League Soccer (MLS)?

Fun game, maybe not for the casual gamer, but for a hardcore soccer fan, this certainly beats FIFA. I was initially frustrated by how hard it was to in fact score a goal, but now I can appreciate “full potential aiming for the top left corner” doesn’t score a goal ~ 99% of the time, or “long cross to their guy immediately tackle him and score a goal” doesn’t glide either, because they can just turn around and shield you from the ball. Plus, Masters League is pretty incredible, the only downside is they don’t have licenses for all the teams, but they secretly have all the announced names stored in case you want to change them.
