Just bought WoO for the Xbox. At first try out of the box I was excited, but soon found that a steering wheel is not supported. I found this hard to believe, so I emailed THO and they responded “Steering wheels are not supported for this game. We apologize for the inconvenience.” I express my disappointment and questioned that it be fixed in a patch if possible. As I told them a racing game without wheel support is like a dairy farmer that don’t drink milk. I’m playing with the control pad and can see the game has potential, but without being able to adjust the sensitivity and or the wheel lock, it’s pretty hard to control. The game does responds to a steering wheel, IOW gas, brake work, but the steering has way too much play, nearly 4-6 inches left to right before it kicks in. Being an ancient dude that has small experience with the smaller joystick on the control pad, I have been having a hard time, my son who is used to the controllers has a small better luck. But still when you are in the pack it is very hard to keep from over steering. If you like racing with a joystick you can have some fun with this game. Lot’s of excitement and the physics seem pretty excellent, if you can control it. With a properly config. steering wheel I reflect the game would be a blast. I hope that a fix is possible. My recommendation is unadorned, if you play with a stick buy it, but if you like the feel of a wheel in a racing game your not going to be pleased. I’d probably pass if I had it to do over.

This game is as excellent as I’ve played for dirt track racing. The track changes as it goes and is very challenging to play which is a excellent thing.I started out in rookie and usually you can win every race from the start ,not so with this game it takes some some hours of playing to get a excellent feel. The cheap price frightened me a small bit but the $20 is the best $20 I’ve spent.Grafics are excellent sound is excellent all in all I reflect this game is a taste of the real dirt track experience, all you need is some clay dust and methenol fumes and you would reflect your there.

My all time favorite game is World Of Outlaws 2002 from Ratbag for the PS2. I still play that game religously everyday….until now!
This is pretty much an updated version of the 2002 game. Its a BLAST!!! And $20 ! WOW. The graphics are just right, not incredible but very realistic and just fine for my taste. The sound of the cars in unbelievable! The mud flying and the changing of the track as you race is awesome!
This game is gonna get played at my house until it burns up because it is awesome. I would of gladly paid $50 for this game.
MUST BUY!!!
