This is the worst game I have ever played. You get two players that go in unison, so you can’t set them up individually. Also, the controls are very hard…you may get lucky if you endlessly press the control, but then you are so busy critical the controls, that you can’t go your players. Also, picture quality is terrible. We had to stand right up to the TV to see the players.

If you like in court (6 vs 6) volleyball you will definitively delight in this game. There is no doubt that there are lots of room for improvement but the truth is that there aren’t many other volleyball video sports meeting in the market (if there is another) and this game brings most of the sport into the modern consoles. I haven’t play any tournaments or championships yet so I can’t judge anything about that mode and my review will be focus on game play. You can make new players but I haven’t try that either. At first you will struggle a bit getting used to the controls but after a small while you will get over them and use the decent variation of attacking combinations. Offensively, the game does a excellent job of resembling the sport but in the defensive side it cascade a small small. Unfortunately, there aren’t any deepening tutorials or manuals explaining the different combination so you will have to figure out by trying all of them. There are different service styles you can use.
There are only a few defensive alternatives for the blockers but none for the introduction of back court players. Players do dive for the ball but they lack alternatives to defend any play after the ball is touched by blockers. The game camera play some tricks from time to time by not shifting quick enough from the service camera to the selected camera but this is not an every play pattern. I recommend using the second camera angle which is at intermediate space and allows excellent offensive playing and attacking angles. The sound is very disappointing, the commentary shape are few, dull, dull and repetitive but this isn’t a music game. Net physics are lost here, the net acts like a still wood fence. There are many options in terms of # of sets, points and even the ancient sideout rules. Graphics are ok considering this is a PS2 game but this title is not for the graphics. In the end, if you are a volleyball fan you will find enough elements here to keep you interested, if you don’t like volleyball or you are to obsessed with graphics the chances are you will despise this game. Unfortunately, the reviews around the net are very low (most reviewers seem to be obsessed with graphs and guns of the nauseating repetitive first person shooters) and it seems like no newer version will be coming. A sequel would have been splendid given that the title has most of the sport elements covered.

This is a wonderful game for those who like to play volleyball. This game was ordered for my niece whose team became champion in an area of Puerto Rico. Womens Volleyball ChampionshipI have always trusted amazon.com for being an outstanding company and I have always been satisfied with all the harvest I have received.

I am a volleyball player. Although the game is fun, it is simpler to play the real game than the PS2 game! I reflect the controls are kind of hard to deal with; it is simpler to play basketball or soccer. The designers should do a better job next time!

it is a pretty cool game… its splendid. just sometimes the players run to slow… and you can hit. and tip the 2nd ball as a setter but i mean there isnt much variation that can be played… when hitting i dont know how to aim to different spots.. if u can… and when trying to get loose balls they do a one hand thing to get it back..
so there’s passers who run to slow, try to get shanked balls with one hand, dive, and dive after the ball hits the floor
of course not soo accurate
but its alright .. once in a while.
not tooo addicting…
