This game beats out Warcraft easily. I have been a huge Warcraft 1-3 fan and Warhammer March Of Chaos/Battle March is all and more than what Warcraft should have been. This one gives you a break from building cities or town’s etc and just embraces raw brutal war. You can still train units, but upgrades etc all the norm but there’s no bases per say. Loads of army’s, splendid battles, splendid tale and just a pleasure to play! I can’t wait for the next one. Warhammer 40000 is an incredible series as well.

I have to start with… I am a BIG fan of the work that Sports meeting Workshop does. have been a Warhammer buff for about twenty years. This is one of the largest let downs as a game I have ever experienced. The graphics are muddy, the controls are hard and that brought my fifteen minute ordeal with the game to a close.

Multiplayer is apparently locked until you end the release player game. Which wouldn’t be that terrible if the release player was not so frustrating. You can’t save half-way owing to a level so if you fail, you restart the whole level. No marvel this game was so cheap.

I like the warhammer universe, but this gameplay is so dull, repetitive, unresponsive, and doesn’t capture any of the fun of the tabletop or the darkness of the universe that I can’t even recommend it to hardcore fans like myself.

Simply place, this is the modern version of the original Warhammer Real-Time Tactical game, Dark Omen. That game was odd, and so is this one. Only Warhammer fanboys will like it for it’s player vs player opportunities, and AI is sketchy at best. As in the original, your options for building an army are quite vast, but the actual deployment of options is based on game mechanics. Computer system resource management is not more than average, and the UI is dreadful. You cannot view much of what is going on, camera control is limited, and unit command is not intuitive. When compared to the Total War series, this game is simply lacking in the UI area. It amazes me that they made an expansion, because I bunged playing halfway owing to the first campaign. The thought, tale, and execution of the campaign are splendid, but the copious flaws in the actual battles outweigh the pros. Since this is not what I really want, I want to see a Warhammer game more like Total War: Medieval, just with the Warhammer universe. But what publisher is going to pick that up?
