Cheap and splendid. I use it backwards in that it’s connected to my HD AV unit and then I press the small button to switch between a TV in the day and a projector at night. No problems and no complaints.

this is a pretty excellent cable. i have had mine for 11 months and its does what it says but fyi… its $10 cheaper if you buy it in a Gamestop store!

I selected up a new huge screen a few months ago, and it was my first HDTV so obviously I was excited. Once I got my HDMI cables online (don’t ever buy those in stores) I got ready to hook up my PS3 and my cable box… and couldn’t.
I looked at other “switch boxes” or no matter what they were that cost drastically more for one that looked decent rather than belonging on the inside of a fighter jet. Honestly, when I saw the quick switch I was obviously pessimistic, but the seller had a splendid rating so I assumed I could return it.
Literally, this took maybe a whole 60 seconds to set up, and that involved removing the ancient cords from the units, attaching the HDMI cables to everything and moving the TV back. I followed the instructions after that: make sure everything is off, turn on the TV, turn on the cable box (or no matter what you want to be default), then wait a few seconds and turn on the PS3 — I haven’t touched it since and it works PERFECTLY.
The only very, very minor complaint is that the cord is about 3 feet, so if (for example) you want to let your PS3 run updates and watch TV at the same time, you’ll have to reach around the TV and press the small silver button on the unit. Given it’s silver on a white unit it sticks out even in low light and after awhile you don’t even have to look. Honestly, given that I don’t have something the size of a VCR next to my TV just to change between the two it doesn’t matter.
Oh, and it really doesn’t bother me, but you give up picture in picture if you ever use that — meaning PS3 in one screen and TV in the other, TV and TV will obviously still work. I reflect you could get around this if you used the HDMI cables and the component cables and then just changed the view settings in the PS3 if needed, but like I said I really don’t care about it.
By and large, an incredible buy and a splendid product. BUY IT NOW!

Says it is for the Wii. But does not plug into wii. A wii does not have HDMI out.
