The Epic Saga Continues …300 years after Aziraal has been banished, a brother and sister are drawn into the conflict which has flared up between the Orcs and the free world. Kyra, the hero’s younger sister, suddenly disappears in mysterious circumstances. The hero, a bounty hunter, searches throughout Antaloor for her. His quests take him to the far-off reaches of the continent. Constantly on the alert for a clue as to her whereabouts, he keeps his eyes and ears open during his travels. The mercenary jobs he gets are not just for collecting information – he also receives gold for these tasks and he must have gold to continue his search. But, it’s not always simple to find tasks that pay – he even has to gain a reputation with certain groups before they’ll even reflect of entrusting a tough task to him. After many weary months of searching, he finally gets his first clue – a mysterious letter that tells him to make for the mountainous region of the far north. As luck would have it, he has also heard of a possible job in the village of Komorin in Thalmont – and that’s on his route – so it’s the open road for him again. The villagers in Komorin can also count themselves lucky that they’ve in fact found a mercenary to help them with their conundrum – most of the young and capable men have gone to help fight the Orcs in the south. The Thalmont government hasn’t helped much either – officialdom says it can’t spare the time for other problems when they have rebels to deal with… Thus starts the tale of Two Worlds – one mercenary arrives alone in Thalmont, a wild mountainous region really unfamiliar to him. Will he succeed in finding his sister.

I loved all of the Gothic sports meeting prior to this one. I hope this one doesn’t indicate what the next gothic game will be like. Too many bugs and had to run game at lowest detail.

There is no additional game play for the regular game so one must then go online. After one week of trying to get the online play to work and trying all suggested soultions I have given up.

Get Nothingness instead this game sucks. Plus unless you send Southpeak all your personal and computer information plus activation you only get a demo version. This is total BS as you payed for a horrible lame game, you should be able to play the lame game, but no you still have to gives these crooks more than your cash. Southpeak can drop dead I hope they go out of affair for the horrid game. The game itself is terrible, the voice acting/animation is laughable and like your watching robot chicken (Im not kidding) the gameplay is garbage, the fighting system sucks, the graphics are sub-par, and the fact that you cannot make a character and have to use the Southpeak made loser is stupid. This game sucks on every level of gaming and Southpeak sucks for wanting you to pay cash for this garbage then have to activate and give them all your personal & computer info before you can play. Want the best? Get Nothingness. Two Worlds is the worst, horrid developer, horrid game.
AVOID!

It’s hard not to slam that piece of junk that everyone seems to be enamored with, while opening this review, but I got this game as a knee jerk reaction to how much I despised Neverwinter Nights 2.
Two Worlds is an open-finished game, similar in stylishness to Nothingness, and that is it’s best feature. There is a plot, though if not for the on-line clue books, I could play this game for months and never complete it or figure it out. To be honest, you are guided to each active quest by glowing areas on the map, but it is simple to get distracted with the huge open world. I played for over a month before I got around to seeing the hero’s sister for the first time in this weird magic area.
What I don’t like about the game is the third person view, which I despise with a passion. I’m a first person gamer, and these third person, over the shoulder, or isometric views just guide me crazy. Now, that is not a terrible thing for this game, because the movement and over the shoulder view is well done and simple. After the early entry into the game, I got used to the perspective and had enough fun to be able to live with it, though I still don’t like it.
Two Worlds is a lot of fun, especially for the first half of the game. The conundrum is that after a while, you are always finding the same ancient stuff, become obscenely rich, and it starts to become repetitious. That is my largest beef with the game. It is a huge world, but there is not a lot of variety in it.
I am about 3/4 owing to the main plot but have place the game aside, not only because I am sick of killing the same ancient monsters and finding the same ancient treasures, but I’m kind of at a stalemate in the plot. I’m sure with a fresh perspective, I’ll come back and pick up where I left off and figure out the next step. Until then, I’ll continue playing The Witcher, which is far more engaging, though with not as huge of a world.
To me, this game is night and day compared to the Neverwinter Nights series, and wish I’d just waited and bought this game first and saved a lot of cash. It is not a terrible game and can give you hours and hours of gameplay. Recommended.
