An odd mix of surgery, anime-stylishness drama (lots of it, and it drags on) and odd magical interventions. Some surgeries require timely drawing of a pentagram on the surgical site for success – not sure which satan-worshiper (just kidding) chose that this is how surgery works, but it is a long way from reality. Another odd and disconcerting part is the relentless sexism and submissive huge-eyed and huge-breasted females – not sure what they are trying to teach here, but it is not surgery. Very odd that the nurses always know what needs to be done, yet are constantly submissive and deferential – maybe that is a Japanese/anime culture thing. Mixed in with the extended slow dialogue, it got very irritating.
Throw in the magical surgery, the bizarre thought that surgeons would somehow be fighting infectious diseases, and the quirky uses of antibiotics and special serum, and it does not work by and large. Maybe if you really like anime stylishness drama. Just not for me.

This is a fun game to pretend you are the surgeon. The operations are fun to do setting bones and sewing up wounds. I’m an adult but I like diversions from all brain training which is the main reason I got a DS. I find myself branching out more and more.
So far no terrible language YET and it is rated T for Teen. It does have a tale line also set in a mission field. I have only done the simple operations so far. The characters are kind of wild looking. You don’t have to know the first version to delight in it. You get an update about how they wiped out Guilt a rampant virus.
I just lost my first patient. OH no. It was an simple operation and I was not quick enough. Don’t reflect this is an simple game to just buzz thru. I’m still doing simple operations and lost the patient.
Any teen would delight in this and adults like me who like variety will also.

First of all i want to say that i pre-ordered this game June 10th,Unfortunately for me didn’t receive it till July 17th because I didn’t order from Amazon.Amazon is #1!!!
Ok now to the game i want to say that besides my favorite Donkey kong jungle Climber game,this is the best.The graphics are so much better then the first one.
I reflect one of the best things they could do as they did w/this game which made all the difference was to add the Simple,Normal,Hard choices. on the under the knife 2.now i can practice on simple and eventually work my way to doing the surgerys in the hard mode,which makes it like 3 sports meeting instead of 1.
I am not a exact gamer yet an to in fact choose the difficulty makes it alot funner.Also the tools such as the magnifying thing are much simpler and quicker as the operations are timed,and the graphics and colors are sooooooo much better.
If you get only a couple dS sports meeting for your DS make sure this is one of them,I am very picky when it comes to giving 5 stars for anhy game but this one and my DK jungle climber are the only 2 so far,that says something because I have 94 DS sports meeting now.Buy IT!!!!!!Oh i nearly forgot ,FROM AMAZON!!!!!

The graffics on this game are phenominal…the game is splendid challenging which is what i in person like and timed….all in all splendid game and it was my first kind of game like this and i like it.

Splendid game. Exact for on the go gaming. Excellent art stylishness, excellent controls, and a ok tale. Multiple difficulty settings add to the experience.
