In addition, for the first time in the Transformers universe, players can also fight the epic war between Autobots and Decepticons online in explosive multiplayer combat. The TaleSet a few years after the defeat of Megatron in the first game/movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen reveals that the threat from the Decepticons is in fact, far from finished. Since the time of the epic and apparently not so final battle between the two Transformer leaders, Decepticons have started popping up again all over Earth in alarming numbers. And now, a mysterious object from space seems destined to shift the balance of potential and give the upper hand to the Decepticons. Mission-centric Gameplay Unlike Activision’s Transformers: The Game, released by the side of side the original movie back in 2007, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen relies less on open-world gameplay and more on structured, but varied mission play. The variety in these missions comes from the fact that players can align themselves with either the Autobots or Decepticons, and that the available missions both analogous the events of the movie, as well as events unique to the game. During these missions players will be able to play as a variety of different Transformers from either side of the conflict, and with success in mission play will be able to unlock additional Transformers and earn points used to upgrade your selected faction. Playable characters include on the Autobot side: Optimus Prime, Iron Hide, Breakaway, Bumblebee, and Ratchet; and from the Decepticon side: Starscream, Sideways (a new character), Grindor, Long Haul, and Megatron. Additional Transformer types will be available in multiplayer modes. The game features a unadorned control toggle that not only allows for quick switching between mech, vehicle and weapon forms, but also allows for a more simple learning curve of the acrobatic moves from the movie. Another dissapointment and a somewhat of a slap to the face is the humans you encounter on missions. I had to save engineers one mission, and guess what? They were clones of each other. Again, how hard would it be to have a few extra hours to change them up a small bit. Or at least make them so tiny that I can’t tell it’s the same graphic.
The battles are very simple, and they could could have made the battles seem more epic, and in turn, this would make the game last longer. The A.I is hard to guage, but my depression is they are pretty goofy. The decepticon prattle on an aircraft carrier revealed to me that they couldn’t tell the difference between the upper level of a ship and a rooftop.
If you like multiplayer I recomend you to atleast rent the game.

Ok, before i start, i don’t own the game yet, i plot on getting it tomorrow, but i’ve had a few hours with my friends copy when he came over, all i can say is this is a splendid game, the tale pretty much follows the tale of the movie, but thats to be expected with a game based on a movie, but thats not why you’re here, is it. In terms of gameplay, it’s very fun and open, the main enemies in the game are unadorned cannon fodder, but who wants to fight only bosses(unless it’s Shadow of the Colossus, each Autobot and Decepticon has a melee attack and 2 ranged attacks, just like the first game, unlike the first game, each Transformer is different, such as different ranged attacks, different special moves, and different strength, so Bumblebee won’t be as strong as Optimus. Each mission allows you to pick which Transformer you want to be once you unlock them, unlike the first where you had to use a certain one, Unlocked Ratchet?, wanna use him?, go ahead and pick him. Graphically, the game is split, the enviroments look ok,kinda bland, the Transformers but, look awesome, everything from the trasnformations to them attacking to them just standing there doing not anything, they look splendid. I didn’t get a chance for multiplayer, but if it’s anything like the release player, it’ll be fun playing against actual people, so if you can, go to the store, pick up a copy, and, in the words of Optimus Prime, transform and roll out

What’s splendid about it: the transforming, the shooting, the fighting, the graphics, this game is increadible!!!!!
What’s not so splendid: It is increadibly hard to get past the last few levels on both autobot and desepticon teams
“This game is probably one of the best sports meeting that i have ever played. the graphics are incredible and once you start playing it is near impossible to stop”

I had high hopes for this game, but it’s just not fascinating enough to continue. Controls are a bit hard and there doesn’t seem to be a splendid plot. It’s too much like those ancient mech sports meeting back in the 90s. It’s too simple for 3D game manufacturers to make stuff like this. All in all, it’s dull and is nearly as terrible as the movie, and for the same reason. The 3D itself is okay, but not what I expected. The still captures are better than what you in fact get.

Very excellent graphics. Follows the movie pretty excellent. You can play as autobots or decepticons if you wish. Have not completed it but it seems like a long game, but I am not a hard-core gamer. My son likes to play around on the boards I have completed and he is 4 so it is not too complicated.
