My teenage boys really like this game. They play it a couple of times a week and say that it’s different from other sports meeting.

don’t really play much sports meeting but this game was fun. just like the other tony Hawk’s but different scenery and extras. Splendid for any skateboard loving kid or adult.

Excellent game. Beat it in two days. I’m a huge fan of the series and have played them all. This game plays similarly to the others, just with better graphics and environments and some new tricks. If you like skating sports meeting or the other THPS sports meeting, get this.

Proving Ground is the next Stage in the TH saga…as usual, graphics are better, and features are better, but basically the same game. It’s still fun to play, but for my taste, I want to see some more realistic (simulated) type of game, where the skating is more believable…not 30 ft ollies off of a kicker…4 stars!!

Ah yes, it’s that time of year again when all the various franchises are out with new releases just in time for the holiday season. Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground finds the legendary skater riding again on the PS2 with what may be the system’s last hurrah with the Hawk-meister, and boy does it show. The tale elements that have become a staple of the series over the last few installments are here again, but it feels as if there’s a lot missing compared to the higher powered versions of the game. But, it is worth noting that the game doesn’t in fact look half terrible for a late in life PS2 game, and even looks a bit better than last year’s Tony Hawk’s Scheme 8. There’s a excellent soundtrack as usual and the typical, tried and right Tony Hawk-stylishness gameplay mechanics that we all know and like are here, but there’s no online features to be found, which is by far the largest disappointment of Proving Ground. All in all, Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground is about what you would expect from the series at this point on the PS2, which is still worth checking out if you’re still hanging on to your aging console.
