Just bought the gold edition. Installed it and can’t run the darn thing as it gives me graphics engine errors this running on a groundbreaking new PC which runs UT3 at the highest setting by the side of with Crysis (over 3gigs of RAM, Nvidia GTX, windows XP…latest drivers). So I did some search online and apparently graphics issues are rampant with this game. I am out of luck since I can’t return the game and re-installing anything is out of the question just to run one game.
Oh, I also found out there being a list of cards this game doesn’t support by the side of with onboard ones (not for laptops).
Very disappointed.

I found this game too be a bite dull. Graphics where fine not splendid, game play a bite dull, tale I like and the Greak history information fascinating. Still for the price it was wroth getting to kill time.
Reason for a bite dull is you cannot save when you want and then load it from that point. It saves but loads game to a set point(which is the last fountian you had active).

I know not anything about this game except my kids, whom it was bought for, like it.

Rancyd is right. THQ has confirmed that that CD Key for the Immortal Throne game will not work online. You can install the original version and the expansion but you will not be able to play the expansion online. If you don’t plot to play online then the game will work fine for you.
THQ’s solution to this is to mail them your copy of the game and they will send you a new game. So basically add another $5 and a few weeks to your game if you wish to do this.
I have returned the game to the store where I bought it 3 times! They gave me a new copy each time and none of them have worked. I’ve been talking to people from California to Florida and everyone is having the same conundrum. I have yet to talk to someone with a Gold version that works. I’m not sure I believe the ‘batch’ excuse or not.
All in all, the game is splendid but THQ’s customer support is quite lacking.

This is a diablo 2 clone with much better graphics. It is pure hack n slash from start to end despite the excellent character customization. Frankly the game is dull. Its horribly unbalanced because of the drop rate of items. You will be porting back to town every 5 minutes with a sack full of magical junk.
The game isnt challenging because of this oversite. I found I could not end it and started to just ignore drops that werent “epic”. I still ported back to town to sell every 15 minutes, its asinine. Its not a terrible game it just starts to feel so repetitive after the first couple hours of play you will marvel what the point of killing the next 10,000 “monsters” might be.
Needed a bit more creative inspiration in the storyline and a lot less “phat lewt”. The boss mobs were tough sometimes but by and large the game just plain lacked any feeling of substance. I hardly cared if I selected up any drops eventually. Its a excellent time waster, though.
