Once again a SIMS product riddled with bugs. I played this game with a friend’s teen one afternoon and the bugs are basic and plentiful. This is what was observed with strictly the home based affair – customers entering owing to the garage doors, which can’t be locked; after purchasing goods in the store, exiting customers ignore locked doors and exit owing to the house; when multiple registers are opened and staffed the customers ignore the register with no wait and get in a line; employees are constantly leaving the affair and wandering owing to the house. And then there is the ubiquitous general freeze and crash every 8 to 10 minutes or so, which has become a trademark of EA Sports meeting. Unacceptable!
These basic flaws are prevelant in every Sims product I’ve observed. It’s obvious the EA approach-release harvest with no in-house troubleshooting and force the customers to distress shoot as they play. This saves cash on in-house employees but results in frustration for the outcome and teen customers of one of their flagship harvest. Their core affair for this product line is kids who have spent very hard earned cash to buy this mess.
According to Wiki, John Riccitello is the CEO of Electronic Arts and a gentleman by the name of Rod Humble is the VP in charge of the SIMS categorize. If your kids have bought this and you care about them at all, drop these gentlemen a line or email discussing how fed up you are with these unfinished harvest being dumped on your kids.
OK shifting gears here. HAVING SAID THAT-there is certainly some regard in this kind of simulation. When it works right, it does a splendid job of teaching some basic affair belief. Far better kids be spending time in simulations teaching real world skills than wasting their time conversing with thousands of imaginary “friends” on some web site or worse blowing each other away with a variety of military class weapons with what passes for pc gaming entertainment these days.

I have wanted The Sims 2 Open for Affair for a while now. I was very pleased to find that they had a pool for it. It is a lot of fun and more than what I was expecting it to be.

i in fact havent gotten around to starting my own affair yet but i will. i was reading the instruction booklet that comes with the game and i can tell it will be excellent. i installed it and have no problems running the game at all. lags a small bit but thats normal i reflect. the other stuff packs, especially the fashion give you a lot of clothes to choose from and other stuff.

I like this expansion pack. There are a few things that I would change, but all in all a splendid game.
Pros:
Test out all your crazy thoughts without loosing your real cash
Adds new demension to Sims2
Makes raising lots of kids without being in the poorhouse simpler (work from home)
Makes for an simple second job
Cons:
Start up cost of some businesses is horrible, hard time making it back
Some things don’t make sense:
1. why is the affair “open” from the moment you make the phone call…even if that is 2am?
2. why does it take people so long to buy some things (food for instance)…this should not take literally hours.
3. Please…have a meter for the levels of badges (sales, stocking, etc)
4. Make the cash register a bit simpler to use…come on, are all sims that stupid to start with?
5. Please let the employees “wear out” in relation to the work they do (a server should get tired before the cashier, not at the same rate)
6. It should not take a whole day to run after new employees to assign their jobs and uniforms. You should be able to click and do it, not run after all of them to in fact talk to them each time.
In Conclusion:
I find this to be a splendid add on. I have not run into any gliches so far. As to the complaint that I hear all the time–that people go into your house whether you lock the door or not–lock the door before anyone goes into your house. As soon as you start the affair, lock the doors before people arrive. This has solved the conundrum for me.
