I rarely give pointer, but this game was so terrible that after wasting several hours on the game I chose to dissipate a small more time writing this ZERO star review. I bought this game after the rave reviews, what a dissapointment. Fortunately I didn’t pay much for it because after generating a character, exploring the first town, then about 1 hour of exploring and fighting wandering monsters I promptly uninstalled the game and tossed it in the trash where it belongs. Gameplay and the interface is poor. Combat with the pathetic monsters is no better. This game has no redeeming qualities. What a piece of crap. Please don’t dissipate your cash or time.

This is ONE OF THE WORSE GAMES I have ever had the displeasure of buying and wasting cash on. I in person will never buy another game from Bethesda again. After all of the hype about the game, me and my partner bought it. After 10 minutes of play, we found that this game required too much camera angling, two hands to use a mouse and keyboard. The hot keys, even customized, required way too much time to even delight in the game. This game, in my opinion, is for people who delight in complex playing, and not medium to unadorned play.
I am sure the game is splendid, but until a version comes by the side of where I don’t have to use one hand on the keyboard and the other on the mouse, pass this one by.

I am a huge fan of the RPG genre and have played just about every one for the PC. Morrowind is the most dull one I have ever played. I turned it off after two evenings of SLOWLY walking around, having stupid repetitive conversations with NPCs, and lamely fighting rats. The interface is terrible. You are very limited in what you can carry, so after you kill a monster you can’t even carry your treasure back to town. This “game” was all work with no fun. Do not buy!

Why a 1?
a) The game is devoid of fun.
b) You go about as quick as a crippled snail, even when running.
c) The NPC’s “talk” after you have concluded your text-based talking.
d) The graphics may have been excellent about 5 years ago but they are just muddy and dull now.
e) The game is open finished but as a result there is not anything really to do, and the land is so barren that you just get incredibly bored very quick.
I now know why there is no demo for this game, if there were no one would buy it.
BTW, some have argued that the “slowness factor” is a graphic/system conundrum but it is not. Your “character” simply is exceedingly slow, there is small jaggies or system level slowness. If you have played something like everquest or WoW, reflect of it like this; running in Morrowind is at the alacrity of walking in those sports meeting, and walking in Morrowind is about half that alacrity.
Also, the “since of marvel” at seeing stars is ancient, been done everywhere and doesn’t impress. Walking down a road and seeing a door stuck in the side of a mountain means “dungeon” in morrowind…there is no since of wander, the dungeons are doors in the side of a mountain.
finally, if you want to buy this thing go ahead, visibly it appeals to some people. I rate it as one of the worst sports meeting I’ve ever spent cash on and furthers my belief that if a game doesn’t over a demo then there is some reason they are hiding it until after you make the buy.

I have to be honest in saying that I had fun doing those..
I have to also say that I HATED being LOST .. Literally LOST.
because of terrible directions.. and no scope on the screen.. So you don’t know where the heck you are, or are going.. LITERALLY HOURS of Real Time game play.. Just being LOST.
I have to say honestly that If I had not learned the mods, and quick travel cheat , I would have tossed it out after the first few tries..
