If this came out on any other console it would be laughed at, and I’m not talking about the graphics, I’m talking about the mundane game play. This game screams generic. For the Wii, it may be the best shooter available, but that’s not saying much AT ALL! If you compare this game to other sports meeting in the genre, on all platforms, which is what we should be doing in a review, this game compares poorly in every category.
At best this game is average, compared to the rest of the genre, it’s poor. If you want excellent FPS action, you should look elsewhere.

A quality video game. Worth playing. Works splendid with the Wii Motion Plus. Splendid graphics. It is very violent and would not give this to my kid until he or she know that we are really this dumb and have to kill each other like animals. But I still play, but don’t give me a gun after playing this for an hour or so cause I can shoot your for being the former. Wiiiiiiii

Let me start by saying I prefer Call of Duty (as a shooter & online play) because it doesn’t bore me. The graphics in the Conduit are well done. I applaud those.
I would take elements from other sports meeting and add them because I reflect it would make the game better.
For example… Being able to adjust the HUD is nice. I may have checked that option once or twice and haven’t used it since. I reflect most sports meeting just need to focus on showing the information during the game as unadorned, and simple as possible. In other words if you can tell me how many shots I have without showing me a huge flashing number I like that.
As well I am really bummed about the online play. Call of Duty WaW is a splendid example of how the online in this game could have been. Conduit’s online system is very primitive! I felt like I was just running owing to hallways the whole time. I couldn’t get the range I have in call of duty where I can stand on a ledge and pick people off one by one. The level they call the street is one of the worst I have seen in any online game. You basically shoot each other off in a demolished intersection and have a few buildings to run into for cover. The maps just feel small and it’s so simple to find someone just listen for the sound and you’ll get them.
Maybe its me but some of the smaller enemies have amusing voice acting? Like a toy or something. I was being chased by small puppets in some parts of the game. The larger enemies growl like bears or something and why I don’t know. They could have been a small less of what ever it is they are doing…
As for the gameplay I sometimes wondered why I was picking up the alien guns. They went like lizards and seemed to be breathing in between firing. This game is certainly made for the sci-fi & battle star galactica crowd.
I liked that I could remap my buttons something most sports meeting don’t allow anymore. I found that I basically mapped all of them similar to how they would be in World at War. I can’t help but compare this game with WAW because it’s one of the best Wii shooters next to this one (forgive me). Only thing I found that was unchangeable was throwing a grenade. I still had to wave the Nun chuck like an idiot. My accuracy in where I wanted the thing to land was always off due to this unadorned gesture which as in Call of duty I would simply turn that option off, and the grenade throw is mapped to the D pad. Accuracy is always on point.
I just reflect this game is a splendid example of the graphic capability of the Wii. The system is small but it can place out some detail. You can see it visibly in this game. Graphics are crisp but this game cascade small compared to the last shooter we got. Call of Duty in no way compares graphically to this game but Conduit has some lessons to learn when it comes to online shooters. They maybe can take some tips from the guys that worked on in my opinion one of the best shooters on any system. The Call of Duty Franchise. I’d keep this game in my library just to show the graphics off but more than likely I will go back to playing COD4 for the long haul well into 2010.

Forget about the linear dull release player game. High Voltage software seemed to forget all about scripted sequences, I would have loved to be walking in the street and all of sudden a space ship crash or aliens pour out of a building before it explodes…
But, Multiplayer… is awesome. Truly the best online fps on the Wii hands down.
One BIG MINUS though, Interface design is horrible. I accidently deleted my profile twice. That is enough for me to say avoid this game (There’s not anything worse then effective your way to the final boss or level 28 multi player and then delete your hard work…)
