Well I dont really know if the game is any excellent. I paid for release date delivery and it never came. Checked tracking number and UPS says it’s been re-scheduled. Will not mess with Amazon again for release date sports meeting.
UPDATE:
Finally got the game, but the joke was on me because after waiting for UPS late delivery it turns out there is no point. The game is not in the box, you just have to download it. Why did I bother to get the game shipped at all??
Now for the review: I played skirmish mode for 2 hours and I like the game, would recommend it. Giving 4/5

Well, I preordered, ran the demo and keenly awaited my game.
UPS guy just delivered, thanks Amazon.
But, guess what, the Steam Client, you have to use, won’t let me install because it says that the SERVERS are TOO BUSY. I don’t get it. Here I am with the disc and it won’t let me install until it decides that it has time to spend on me.
I PAID FOR THIS – does the bank say it’s too busy to pay?
Don’t buy the first week, that’s all I got to say.

STREAM SUCKS! This is the first time I was mandatory to use stream. After pre-ordering the game and going out and picking up the DVD. I want to write a review of this game. It’s too terrible I can not because I must wait an hour and forty five minutes for it to download before I can play it. Even with a DSL line. I don’t want to read any crying because I one stared this game “I BOUGHT” I may consider changing the review after an hour and forty five minutes. And I may not.

I hear all the complaints, but I bought this owing to Steam (sorry Amazon) as I am a Steam Fanboy. I did not like the 1st game for multiple reasons and never bought the expansion. I even replayed Supcom 1 a bit after I tried the demo of Supcom 2. I never liked much the economy of SumpCom1 and this game downplays the economy in favor of tactical management.
I bought this as a pacifier until Starcraft 2 comes out and to get my RTS skills back up after not playing RTS sports meeting for a while.
If you were a huge fan of SupCom 1, this may be a dissapointment but if you are more a “casual” RTS player, you may delight in this.
Lastly, the “strategic zoom” function should be as standard in every RTS as is unit grouping/numbering.

Steam DRM FTL. Installed the demo to try and chose not to. They limit you to a few campaign missions, but no skirmish.
