I found this game to not have enough action. My kids (4 and 7) like action and racing, etc. This game had matching sports meeting and cells, etc. Dull for a young kid that just wants to see Superman fight the terrible guys and glide – alot. There is that option but it gets ancient quick.

I recieved this as a christmas gift and this game was so much fun.You get to solve puzzles and battle.I’m lucky that you don’t have to battle the super-villians and you only have to battle the minions.I’m already past level 1 of the game and now on stage two.The only thing I despise in this game is that there’s a timer there and I get SO frustrated when it comes to losing in the puzzles and it is SO hard.THere is NO cheat codes for this game and I mean NO cheat codes and that sucks.I thought in every game you buy, there is some cheat codes for it and I guess not this game and this is a HUGE let down that there is no cheat codes in this game.Oh well, can’t complain and at least this is the best game on GBA so far and this is highly recommended to the superman fans and for some people who like the movie,Superman Returns.

I am giving this a rating of 4 because my grandchildren said it is a small bit hard to master.

Yeah, once again we have another case of the best version of a licensed game being on the GBA. Seriously, Superman Returns for the GBA is much better than it’s console bretheren, though it’s still not something that can be completely recommended. Now, first off, when I reflect comic/movie licensed game and the GBA, I reflect side scrolling beat ‘em up. Superman Returns for the GBA (titled Superman Returns: Fortress of Solitude) is in fact a puzzle-type game rather than a beat ‘em up, which is a very nice change of pace. There’s a boat-load of puzzles to play owing to using Superman’s various powers as a means to solve the puzzles and progress owing to the game. Running against the timer while you solve the puzzles, the game is surprisingly challenging, and there are side scrolling shooter levels thrown in for excellent measure as well, in which you control the Man of Steel and use your heat vision and freeze breath to take down villains. There’s some unlockable extras as well, namely images from the mega budget film, but the bland graphics help bring down the game. It’s not exact, but it is a refreshing change of pace from the typical side scrolling beat ‘em up that is usually slapped together with a comic/movie license.
