Anchored by the characters and events of the “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” animated series, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes reveals a new and exciting stage of the Star Wars saga. Containing the series’ unique graphical stylishness, a tale conceived by the writers of the box series, multiple playable characters across two classes and co-op gameplay it is a must-have title sure to enthrall both new and more seasoned fans alike.
Tale Gameplay in Star Wars the Clone Wars: Republic Heroes is mission-based. Players can choose to approach the action as either a Jedi or a clone class character. Playing as a Jedi you have access to eight playable characters, and as a clone you play as one of a group of clones. The game was developed with co-op play in mind, which means players can more or less count on never fighting alone, which is a excellent thing considering the hordes of battle droids and other enemies you will face. The game also features a puzzle-solving gameplay component, as well as an upgrade system based on the pool of “Force Orbs” scattered throughout the game environment. Weapons and Combat Keeping with the sports meeting’ user friendly approach, the control scheme has been designed with Jedi character’s lightsaber and force powers, as well as clone characters firing trigger accessible from a release input fund. Because of the difference in the character classes weapons, combat differs depending on the class chosen. Due to their dependence on the their lightsabers, Jedi will mostly engage enemies at close range, although force potential attacks can allow for more space from targets. In addition, utilizing Jedi powers at point blank range players are able to engage in “droidjacking,” which allows a Jedi to take control of a droid’s weapons system and other abilities. On the other hand, clone character combat relies more on firepower, utilizing a variety of blaster type weapons and thermal grenades, although clones are able to buy heavier weapons, such as miniguns and rocket launchers as the game progresses. Because of the pellet nature of these weapons clone character combat can be fought as a variety of distances. Key Game Features

Dont listen to the other unenthusiastic reviews this game is really fun but a small small but I still like it

I buy this game to play with my 5YO son. We are both huge fans of the cartoon series and was hoping it would grant us will some quality entertainment. The game play is one some of the worst I have ever experience.
The camera view is my largest grip. It constantly changes with no reason other than to impress you with the graphics. The continual camera angle change ups makes jumps and combat rather challenging. Also no first person for aiming or weapon control . I am not a third person view hater , Gears of war is one of my all time favorite game. In this game it is so poorly done that it really takes away from the play quality.
The terrible game lay out is also continual throughout the game. In several cases with no real direct you are supposed to drop off of a ledge to continue. Were dropping off of a ledge might kill you in one instance another it is how you progress. Again these just shows the designer was more interested in graphics and not solid game play.
The controls are also not in a standard configuration. This again destroys the by and large game play. It would be nice to rent but shows no long term use or replay. You really just want to get to the end so you can resell it.

The Star Wars Republic Hero’s game is honestly excellent. It is a small small for the price, but my son is glued to it and is replaying all the levels. I play with him and still delight in replaying the levels. I’d probably give it 5 stars if we didn’t end it in less than a week. The Lego game took months to get owing to with a lot more reasons to replay.

I got this game for me to play with my 6 year ancient. I feel like I should stick up for this game because of the other reviews were too harsh.
He likes the Lego Star Wars game and has 4 billion points, thats how much he played it. He also really likes the Clone Wars TV show. This isn’t the greatest game ever made but for my son, it is exact. He didn’t want to go to bed last night and took the game box to school to show the other Star Wars maniacs.
Like the Star Wars Lego game, the game is too hard for him to play the first time owing to by himself. I selected this game because it has a 2 person mode where the 2nd player (me) can jump in and out, like the Lego game. Basically, when he hits a spot that is to hard, I can jump in and help him owing to it.
The game itself is fun. It isn’t the most cutting edge game, but is worth buying if you like the genre. You switch between being jedi and clone troopers. The jedi works sort of like the Lego game (ie. double click the blue button for double jump, double dump + the green for a double jump light saber go, etc.). It is a small more complex and you can learn more combos. The clone section is like a overhead view shooter game with various weapons, grenades etc. It is no Call of Duty, but still fun.
All, in, all a fun game to play with you kids.

don’t believe the unenthusiastic reviews. This is a very fun and humorous co-op game. Yes some of the platforming sections are not done very well and therefore are tedious and time consuming. But the positives – accessible combat, tongue in cheek humor, intuitive controls – far outweigh the negatives. It’s a safe buy if you are looking for some quality family game time.
