I got this lightsaber for a splendid price at Christmas time. Even though we have several, it sounded too cool to pass up. All the locality kids are in awe of the sound effects. It is certainly the preferred lightsaber at our house. The light up feature is splendid, especially when the kids are doing an outside battle at dusk! Very cool! The lightsaber has held up very well with nearly daily use by 6-12 year ancient boys. I am plotting to get another one for each when birthdays roll around. You can’t go incorrect with this one if you have a Star Wars fan in your house.

My 7 yr ancient son had two “regular” light sabers when he got two of these for a gift. He played with them every day for at least a month, and after that it dropped to two out of three days, and now every other day. I don’t reflect he owns another toy, including his DS, that he plays with more. These light up and make light saber noises, and the noise changes when it hits another solid object. Very well made; it hasn’t broken yet, which is shocking considering the abuse it gets.
