The build quality on this thing isn’t as splendid as some of the official online reviews have suggested. The plastic feels cheap and the “seams” are not precise. It’s certainly nowhere near the quality of the official Sony controllers.
Also, although this controller is wireless, note that it works by RF, so a USB dongle (included) is required. I was disappointed that it doesn’t utilize Bluetooth.
The graphics also make the controller quite hideous in my view. I would’ve preferred a plain black controller.
Having said that, it does work, and SF4 is much more fun with this controller than the standard controllers, particular because it helps tremendously with pulling off circular motions consistently.

The Fightpad has a nice grip to it and the button arrangement is comfortable and practical my only two real complaints are
1-Eats a lot of batteries.
2-When critical a Button the Action vs the response time is not that close ( but not always) in person, I reflect that probably it would have been better if it had a cord just like the XBOX 360 version
Besides that, for the price is the best control for fighting sports meeting

I bought 2 of these pads, one for the PS3 and one for the 360. I have no complaints about the design (very reminiscent of the 6 button sega genesis/saturn controller), and in fact i wish there were more controllers designed like this. It fits comfortably in your hands and the buttons are brilliant. While the d-pad may not be for everyone (it’s incredibly ‘loose’ making it simple to roll your thumb around, but is very snappy), it does it’s job. The main conundrum i have is the wireless connection with PS3 pad. It tends to lose indicate and your character may go in a management you may not want. I have only found that this conundrum occurs on the PS3 controller, which makes me marvel why they didn’t just wire it like they did with the 360 version. By and large I like the design, but there are some significant flaws which make this an item to avoid. I would recommend sticking with the standard controller for both the Playstation and Xbox, or save for a arcade stick such as the Hori EX-SE(360) or EX-SA(PS3).

I had bought 2 of these controllers for my PS3 because to me the PS3 controller seemed a small slower to respond to buttons being pressed. The first month with this controller was brilliant. I use Vega on SF4 and has Ultra was hard to pull off in time to hit the opponent exactly when I wanted to. The PS3 controller would just make Vega jump in the air leaving him wide open to counters but the madcatz controller seemed to cure that mistake 90% of the time. Then as expected from madcatz equipment it wasn’t effective correctly. The controller was stuck in the forward position (Vega would continue to walk forward without critical the D-pad). So since I bought 2 of them I switched to the other madcatz controller since my primary one wasn’t effective. I plugged the second controller in to find out… THAT ONE DIDN’T WORK AT ALL! madcatz I’m done with you.
