Soccer Slam
Amazon.co.uk Review
Sega Soccer Slam may mention the gorgeous sport in its title, but you’ll not find any competition here for the FIFAs or Pro Evolutions of this world. This is pure arcade soccer: loud, colorful, completely unrealistic, yet soooo much fun. Gameplay is unadorned: three-a-side quick footie action. You can head, dummy, slide tackle, shoot, pass, and conjure some quite unbelievable super-special shots using button combos and shot gauges. The pace is frenetic, with most sports meeting being tense 9-7 affairs. The soccer action plays really well.
The game is similar in stylishness to Virtua Tennis in concept, though a lot less honest. Modes of play are standard: arcade, tournament, quest, etc. Play out the quest mode and the similarity to the aforementioned tennis title is clear. You brilliant one of six preset teams based on continent and elemental potential. Fire, water, toxic, spirit, electric, and ice form the special powers that each team can let loose on the pitch.
Teams are taken on in a round-robin stylishness league with a special challenge offered to you after each match. The challenges are fun and in the stylishness of Virtua Tennis–complete each one and you’ll be given cash to spend in the shop, where you can buy kit upgrades, new grounds, game artwork, and more. Win the leagues and you’ll be able to unlock extra hidden teams. Other game modes allow you to make a personalized super team and unlock more characters.
The game’s graphics are brilliant and each player is instantly recognizable with splendid animations and detail. The stadiums are well animated and the sound effects are vibrant. The game oozes Sega quality. All in all, Sega Soccer Slam is ideal for those less honest sessions and for pick-up-and-play gaming. –Laurent S. HallAmazon.com Product Description

This game is very fun but when you win the season all you get is the stadium you’ve played in the championship.

Soccer Slam is one of the most well polished sports meeting I have ever had the pleasure of playing. The Matrix-stylied shots are some of the best I have ever seen! But one downfall is the belly button physics are horrible. El Fuego’s is sticking out like a sore thumb…literally. Half-Pint’s belly button definetly isn’t half pint. But the graphics are definetly above average. The character animations are literally un”friggin”believable. But it’s just plain kiddy.

i ordered this game for my nephew who had already played this game previously on another game system and after about 4 days it bunged effective. it really pissed me off because he was looking forward to getting it in the mail and was super excited and he used his own cash to pay for it. of course i couldn’t return it, which was a let down so i doubt i will ever order a game from here again.
