This game is entertaining, but it seems to be a small under challenging for my son who is 4 yrs ancient. The sports meeting are pretty unadorned, but he enjoys playing them.

My daughter likes this (she just turned 4 last week). It’s the only DS game that she can do with NO help. It keeps her busy for hours. Her sisters (7, 11 and 14) have selected it up and played with it, and they say it’s in fact kind of challenging. There are so many sports meeting to choose from so it takes a while for the kid to get bored with it! I’d recommend it for children who are either not reading or are beginning readers, because they will be able to succeed with this game. Once they start reading well, I can see how this would be dull and they’d need to go on to more challenging sports meeting.
