I’ve played SH3,SH4 and now SH5.
SH5 graphics are incredible and even better the SH4. with any new PC game a few patches are needed to charming things out. The manual is lacking as is the map key chart. But there are many forums including the official game forums that have lots of info.
The DRM isssue is overblown IMO. Yes u need a fulltime internet connection and a beefy system to run this game but its worth it IMO.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this game comes bundled with extremely draconian method of digital rights management (DRM). The game essentially requires an Ubisoft account and an always-on internet account. Your connection dropped? Too terrible, the game stops and you lose your progress. Don’t have an internet connection? Too terrible, you can’t play this game. Worried about going over your bandwidth limits? Too terrible, this game uploads all your saves to Ubisoft’s servers. Even more pathetic is that the folks like myself who have legally bought this game are saddled with this DRM, while the pirates who download it don’t have to agonize about (they cracked it a day after the game’s release).
That said, the game has excellent graphics, though the campaign is a small shorter than in previous sports meeting and some complaints have been made about realism.

Draconian DRM is a self fulfilling prophecy. The DRM requires an always on, uninterrupted internet connection, mine has been flaky the last few weeks. Consequently, this is a no buy for me. Even if I weren’t having intermittent connection problems, I still would not support this kind of DRM with dollars and I urge you not to either.

While the game is fun, the DRM is obtrusive and a slap in the face to paying customers. With contemporary technology, people are more than likely to be connected to the internet, but release player is what’s played when the ISP is down. Ubisoft’s new DRM (found in all new PC sports meeting, settlers, Assassin’s Creed II, SH5 etc…)eliminates this likelihood. Not to mention if you have a sketchy connection or dialup, don’t take another look at an Ubisoft game. It makes the game unplayable for customers like myself.
Also, with Ubisoft’s customer service, do not take upon yourself that this game will be playable even if you have a constant internet connection. Studio side servers do go down, and with how the DRM is implemented, that means you will not be able to play this game WHEN that happens.
I for one, can not return or trade in the game (due to the new DRM), but I will be speaking to Ubisoft with my wallet. No more PC game buys and only used buys on the 360/PS3 where they don’t get a dime.

I’ve never been so disappointed nor have I ever had a stronger feeling that I got ripped off or spent my cash unwisely than with this game. Activision has lost its mojo (did it ever have any?) in a huge way. Not only is the game play and design a disaster, but the dreadful DRM is just a slap in the face for honest customers. Don’t even pirate this game – it would be a dissipate of your time. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing it.
