I bought this game because I assumed that it would be kind of like the Harvest Moon series… I was incorrect. This game was the most dull farming game I’ve ever played. I didn’t like it at all… I thought it was horrible. If you feel the urge to buy it and bore yourself to death, feel free, excellent luck, and feel free to right me if you feel that I’m incorrect.

I don’t even know what to say except….Are they for real?? This game is horrible, only 1 screen for gameplay the entire time. It makes NO sense at all. It’s worse than anything I have ever played. I honestly reflect this game must be a joke.

Don’t be fooled by the clean graphics of the title and cut scenes, nor by the title that makes it seem that it would be something like a game from the Harvest moon franchise or Animal Crossing. This game was very poorly designed and is no fun at all.
The worst part is the small farm that you start in. It looks like a disaster and there is not anything you can do to change the position of the default of where the grass and plants are growing. Also, usually in a game like this, exploring the inside of your house or the animal shed can be fun, but this game doesn’t have that. Instead, every time you penetrate one of these places, it automatically takes you to a menu, full of choices that are mostly irrelevant at the beginning of the game, while at the same time teasing you with a social class picture that looks like it should be an explorable part of the game.
At the beginning, it’s hard to figure out what to even do. You run around the farm, but you have no tools or items, you have overgrown plants blocking your path to certain areas, you have these two animals that were dropped off willy nilly running around that you can’t do anything with except pick them up or drop them. After doing this for about half an hour, you realize that you cannot progress any further in the game until you hit the L1 button to make time go by quicker, after which another of your neighbors will finally give you a sickle.
The most frustrating part of the game is the stupid fence. Once you pick it up (which you have no choice but to do since it’s part of the tutorial at the beginning, you can’t continue the game without doing this) you will never be able to enclose it again. The play control is so horrible, that sometimes the fence cascade vertical, sometimes horizontal, and it always bounces a small. Basically they become mere obstacles more than places to keep the animals.
This game was a complete disappointment

Have you ever wanted a Harvest Moon game where you didn’t have to agonize about socializing with the villagers and travel? Then this is the game for you. You stay in your farm when you aren’t hunting with your dogs (and other animals).
Pros:
– Tons of land
– Many types of things to do (farming, ranching and hunting)
– Can go fences and use every inch of your land the way you want to
– Tons of types of crops and animals to grow and raise
Cons:
– Each buying point sells different items needed to progress the storyline
– No real ‘end’ (can just keep playing forever)
– Fences are irritating and hard to go to the right places, though one can get the hang of it with practice.
– You must sell things according to a tree to unlock the next item. Not a huge conundrum, but can be irritating at times.
By and large, it is a excellent game. My husband and I loved it and liked the hunting game. A fun game to play, worth running owing to once.

If you are looking for a Harvest Moon type experience, forget it. The game mechanics are entirely different. There is no need to “save the homeland” or find a bride. Instead, you are given a chance to simply keep up a small farm. What does this mean? It means that you will be spending hours arranging and plotting how to set things up. Its all about approach. This is one of those sports meeting where you need to carefully reflect about what you are doing and how it may affect later actions, as the economy in the game is based entirely upon bartering.
Most of the day to day interaction will be limited to trading at the market and the infrequent advice from “Brammy”, a talking duck. Pay attention when he gives advice, it usually is vital. Other charactors will make the occassional appearance at various milestones in the game, which serves to help break some of the monotony. Also, take the time to go hunting every few days, this too helps to break up the monotony and can help to grant some of the supplies you may later need on you farm by means of trading in hunting points for items in “gifts” menu in the dog house.
Though not the most exciting of sports meeting, its in fact quite challenging and every new game can play out differently in one respect or another. Don’t be worried of trying out things that may not work, as the game is forgiving enough to allow you to rebuild without too much stress. It is because of this unique level of challenge that it is possible to start playing this game and not even realize how much time has gone by.
Best Advice: If you are patient enough, it is well worth playing over and over. Exact for young children
