We like Shaun in our house. First from Wallace and Grommet and then the British TV Series. We hoped this would be half as excellent as those are but it’s not even close. Plus if you’ve never seen the British TV show you’ll be lost as to who the characters are.
Are parts cute, yes. Is play simple? At first, but then it grinds to halt.
Mainly you help Shaun find all the sheep who’ve gotten out and are hiding around the Brit TV show farm. There are assorted mini sports meeting, none to challenging and excellent for kids. But like any weak game trying to fill holes you are required to repeatedly return to the same places over and over again looking for bits you might have missed. You’ll find yourself repeatedly assaulted by the pigs who choose to block you for no rhyme or reason, which is followed by the same mini game over and over again, after which you are sort of sent back to the beginning. There is automated help to get you going but after that you’re just left knowing you need to find the rest of the hiding sheep, but no clue as to how to do this. We paid [...] and still feel cheated. If if hits 10 bucks and you’re a Shaun fan go for it. Otherwise save your cash and buy the Shaun DVDs, they’re much more fun.
