Unfortunately I received an open box defeat. The package had already been opened previously from the looks of things. The headset lacked bass which really surprised me since I have read so many say that the bass was awesome. Second defeat was the inline volume control, the control went from loud to really loud and would not adjust the volume not more than that.
I called Sennheiser customer support, they acknowledged that it was indeed defective and offered to repair it under warrenty but instead I opted to send it back to Amazon for a replacement since I had just received it that day. Be wary when buying from other vendors, the Sennheiser customer support rep told me that they only distinction the warrenty when sold owing to their endorsed vendor, Amazon is one but some of the vendors that sell owing to Amazon are not.
Really hoping the replacement is flawless or I will be returning those for a refund this time but unforunately I will have to give it a 1 star until I get those in.

These are Sennheiser headset; they are expected to be made of quality components, and grant quality audio. Sennheiser is generally known for those two things.
These cans are a major exception to the norm. I’m not even sure where to start…
The audio quality is absolutely *horrid*. I’m comparing them to Sony MDR-7506, MDR-V6, and MDR-V600 phones, a US$30 “gaming” pair from Creative Labs (who normally makes horrible hardware), and high-end qualified headset like the Audio-Technica ATH-A900s.
The audio of the PC350 consists predominantly of treble and mid-range. I despise excessive bass, but these cans have absolutely none. Adjusting my soundcard settings to make up for it made no difference; it just finished up sounding compressed and washed-out.
The cord reminds me of the aforementioned Sony cans — if you adjust it in any way, or it rubs up against something (your desk, arm, shirt, no matter what), you’ll hear it — loudly — in the left headphone. And with an in-line adjuster that consists of complete and total plastic… do the math.
The phones and the padding area appear to be made for people with huge, abnormally-sized heads. If you have such a head, these will fit you perfectly, and you’ll probably appreciate them. If you have a normally-sized head, you’ll find the phones don’t press up against your head enough (they’re comfortable, but they could use a small more tension) — putting my hands over them and critical them against my head improved the audio significantly (but still no bass). I could literally fit one of my fingers between the cushioning and my head — presume how that affects the quality of sound…
The packaging is an atrocity. You’re probably paying US$20 just for all the plastic, ties, and unnecessary plastic bags. Even the in-line adjuster was wrapped with a plastic bag — it’s sealed, you fools! The box reminds me of a Rubix product, taking a excellent 10 minutes to figure out. I doubt any of the plastic used is recyclable either — sad.
The only excellent thing is the microphone, which does sound clear and crisp as advertised.
In general, this product is just another example of marketing of garbage trinkets/gadgets towards younger generation gamers. The higher price tag does not make these better. If you want a excellent set of headset, try Audio-Technica’s ATH-A900 cans — which lack a mic, of course.

It didn’t take me long to realize that sound quality on these is horrible. I know other reviews say “You have to get use to the Sennheiser sound” but there is no way these sound as nice as even my cheapo ear buds.
The sound was all in the treble. I listed to streaming music from Pandora as well as a pool of mp3s. There was no bass, even if I tried to fiddle with equalizer settings. I cannot presume that someone purchasing these for a video game or for music would ever get used to this sound.
The mic worked fine, but then it is a wired mic with a boom and I would expect it to.

I bought these after reading several reviews about how excellent these were. Well they aren’t. My Bose tri-port headset (TP-1A) sound better and are more comfortable. Don’t but these buy the Bose and a standalone mic.

I never review things on amazon, but these were so dreadful, I just had to. I shopped around for so long, finally chose on these, and after trying them, i was super disappointed. Pressure on my head was immense, these suckers feel like they weight 20 lbs, and it just feels like you have a huge piece of plastic in your head. No comfort feel whatsoever. Sound was fine, but who cares how excellent the sound is when you can’t stand to wear them??? Sending them back now.
