One thing for sure is that my favorite cycle of Japan would have to be the Sengoku Jidai or the Warring States cycle. I got my brother the extreme legends game for Christmas first and realized that it was just the booster pack to the first one. Well I couldn’t have that so I ordered this one as well. I have always been a splendid fan of this game series and reflect that all of them are five star.

Okay, this game is very fun if you just start out and leveling and all. But then once your characters start to max, you then have to level up the pathetic crap characters and that’s when you start to lose interest in this game. But once your in a battle, it “gets” you no matter what no matter how small the map is. One of the funnest parts of the game is getting the level 4(5 as well if you get Xtreme Legends expansion) weapons! They are usually hard or semi-hard. Plus, getting the rare saddles and skills is exceptionally fun as well. The major fallback is having to train them, they lvl up really at a snail’s pace, unless you have the expansion-Samurai Warriors 2:Xtreme Legends which i believe is worth the cash because of the extra characters. You can import your SW2 data into it and play mercenary mode which allows simpler training. Plus for the expansion, dont forget you can upgrade your weapons with orbs!

Koei’s warrior series has always been as basic as they come, and with each sequel the gameplay would improove as well as the graphics. With Samurai Warriors 2, this is no exception, Quicker gameplay more characters and better graphics than the orginal, and still has things to offer a player who is into the beatem-up gamestyle
By and large if you delight in Samurai Warriors 1 or any of the Dynasty Warrior sports meeting, than getting this will just add to the fun and playing the updated versions are always more enjoyable, so why not give it a shot

If you delight in Dynasty Warriors you SHOULD GET Samurai Warriors. I like that they now have a shop where you can buy weapon upgrades, bodyguards, etc. You also collect gold in the tale mode which is a lot of fun if you are playing w/ two players because you can compete to get more gold/weapons. I also delight in that there are different moves and you can learn more as you go by the side of. My only knock is I have to unlock Musashi Miyamoto, but I guess that’s part of the fun.
