| From the creators of Harvest Moon and Rune Factory for the DS comes the first installment of the Rune Factory series for a home console. Developed exclusively for the Nintendo Wii, Rune Factory: Frontier is a singleplayer adventure that features all the well loved life Sim gameplay and hack and slash role-playing fans know and revere, but now with the stunning graphics and flexibility of the Wii’s unique control system to fully immerse players in the Rune Factory universe.
The Tale As with previous related sports meeting, Rune Factory: Frontier features a heap of Life Sim activities like farming, raising domestic animals, building relationships with NPCs, etc., as well as role-playing elements like dungeon crawling and item pool and leveling, but in structuring gameplay it goes to splendid lengths to incorporate an open-finished structure that allows players to choose the type of game they wish to experience at all points in the game. This means that although at the beginning of the game players will find themselves presented with the familiar opportunity of starting a farm, selling their crops at market and by doing so improving the by and large prosperity and size of their town, they are not necessarily tied to the land. Although farming is an brilliant way to finance adventuring, the rich RPG elements of the game can be pursued at any time. These elements present themselves mostly in the form of battling monsters and bosses that have found their way into the land, but seem to be coming from the mysterious ‘Whale Island,’ which floats in the sky above your town. Players can either battle the monsters or make friends with them, raising them as a kind of domestic animals. As with everything in Rune Factory: Frontier, the choice is yours. Whether it’s growing crops, expanding the town, fighting (or befriending) monsters or even falling in like, the experience is unique to each player. Key Game Features:

I bought this game because I loved Harvest Moon and RPG’s and thought it’d be a excellent fusion of both types of gameplay. Also, the reviews were excellent. Here are my thoughts on this game.
Although many say its an RPG, it’s too limited to be an RPG. Presume an RPG that takes place in one town. Also, the level-up system is very vague, there isn’t really a need to level up the character. Most emphasis seems to be positioned on the relationships with the other townspeople.
Harvest Moon was addicting because depending on how you treated your crops, they could come out as exact, or crappy. On Rune Factory, your crops always come out splendid. You just plant the seed and water once a day. This makes the game overwhelmingly unadorned. I found that if you forgot to water the plants for a day, you could make up for it the next day and it would still grow the same.
The amount of young girls in the town is crazy. Plus, there are girls moving into the town all the time and living by themselves. This was just a eerie observation.
I was expecting something more honest and ambitious. But the gameplay pretty much mimics “A Link to the Past” (the Zelda game for the SNES). If you’ve ever played “A Link to the Past”, that is how the gameplay is. Except the graphics are cuter. Unfortunately, Rune Factory isn’t as excellent a game as “A Link to the Past” (which is a classic by now).
I am 23 by the way, and my favorite RPG sports meeting in the past have been Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG. I also loved Harvest Moon on my grown-up Gamecube. “Rune Factory: Frontier” came off as a small kiddie-ish to me — but my younger sister and younger cousin seem to be addicted to it.
I would suggest renting this game before buying if you are an grown-up gamer to see what you reflect.

Everybody should try this game, it has everything, it’s a splendid game for players that are new to the RPG sports meeting and if you are an RPG fan then you wil like it. This one of the best RPG for the Wii and it’s like a 100 times better than any harvest moon game.
