I rented this game last week…and after putting four hours of my time into it, I learned that I place the controller down in a worse mood than when I selected it up.
This game is a dissipate of time. It looks splendid, but just isn’t playable.
The AI isn’t capable enough to handle combat…at all. Your party members just walk into the enemy, swing, and die. Blocking is very effective…but your AI party members never do it. You spend over half the time in combat stopping to bring up the menu to heal or revive your allies.
I died three times in the second area of the game as well. Dispersed among the levels are absolutely terrible monsters that will can easily kill your party. The treasure chests attack you. And they defeat you. They’re by far the most hard enemy in an RPG’s early game that I’ve seen. One hit from them takes off most a character’s HP, it can hit multiple characters, and can sometimes attack more than once per animation. The game also scales them up in levels to always be vastly stronger than you, and to top it all off, the game explicitly prevents you from running away from them (the run menu is greyed out when they attack you…) This is completely against the general exploration theme of RPG’s…you’re supposed to find and open treasure chests, not marvel if the chest contains an item or a practically guaranteed Game Over.
The game also froze once when I was playing it. Fascinatingly enough, it was when I opened a treasure box…the screen flickered, and just bunged.
Don’t pay $30 for this game, it’s not worth the frustration or the cash.

Okay i finished this game about 3 months ago and really don’t ever want to go back to it again. You know the things i in fact liked about the game were The traveling to different planets, The Ships Outer design and Not to mention Kisala was in fact kinda cute. It’s Character Designs were not impresive. The way you had to upgrade wepons became a pain. And i never did figure if there was a second Frog. I didn’t know the whole bug catcher thing. The Tale line strayed so many time i forgot the whole reason of him leaving his homeworld. And then when you reflect you have a clue on who the enemy might be it throughs you a loop and what do you know a tale change…Im talking about how the explorer looks like he gets killed off by the robot but later it shows he didn’t. Then when you finally defeat the final boss…Oh wait it wasnt the final boss…And then all the characters have to fight one section of the final Boss (okay that took 2 hours in it’s self) and don’t get me started on the dungons. The final dungon yea most rpgs there long. This one took me 2 days of playing 5 hours straight to finally reach it. Contracted some of the dungons werent that long, but some it would take you an hour to get out. I started out doing well in this game but i tell you what i had to use cheats once i got to the prison. Yea and how you meet 5 of the main charecters with before you leave the first world. hmmm, lets see in ff6 didn’t take you all game to get all 14 players and Chrono Cross to get all characters you had to play the game atleast 2 or 3 times. Not here 5, then the next 2 worlds you pick one up and then finally you get the Dog, Why the hell theres a planet filled with Elvs and Dogs, i don’t know. I guess if you really want to play this game go ahead i would rent it though and see if you would like it first. I payed 40 dollers for it when it came out, yea don’t wast 40 dollers like i did. The Pluse side was i also bought Xenosaga 3 that day too so it wasn’t a total loss.

I want to be able to review this game but it does not play.
I take upon yourself this is due to a faulty press when manufacturing the disc.
So be aware when buying you too may end up with one that does not play.
All I can say is splendid cover bring shame on no game
