If you have to hit clarification harder which is not possible to accurately do!It is probably a way to make cash of a flaw in ancient drums which makes an illusion of solving the conundrum when you will probably get the new drums anyway

Twenty dollars right out the dialogue box. They silence the drums somewhat, but you have to hit harder to get the hits to register so that’s kind of a wash. Plus, lots of hits, even the hard ones, don’t register, so I quickly got frustrated. On medium, songs I can normally get 100% on were nowhere close and I missed tons of white clarification and activations of star potential. I can’t presume how this would impact hard/expert drummers.

I figured that this would be an affordable alternative to buying the new drum kit for Rock Band 2, but I was dead incorrect. It does greatly reduce the noise, which might sound awesome, but it also makes a BIG difference as to the percentage of clarification hit. With the drum silencers on, I missed a very significant amount of clarification on many songs that I have 5 starred copious times on Expert difficulty. It might sound like a excellent thought to hit them harder, but even this doesnt gaurentee a registered hit. And for songs like Long Time or Everlong, hitting the drums that hard with that kind of precision is just not possible.
I read the other reviews and thought that I could deal with it, but this is inexcusable.
If you want quieter drums, spring for the new drum kit. These are not worth the cash.
