Meet Two Fierce, Playable Main Characters
Back from the original title and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, former S.T.A.R.S. special forces team member Redfield is a battle-tested, founding member of the BSAA. With a reputation for superior marksmanship and unusual hand-to-hand combat abilities, he’s on the ground and up against a new strain of evil.
You’ll call his shots from the same over-the-shoulder third person viewpoint that distinguished Resident Evil 4, except this time you’ll also have the option of playing as his partner, the fierce, local Alomar. Whoever you play as, updates to the earlier version’s third-person control scheme offer more options and promise intuitive interactions.
Learn to Work Together
The new cooperative game play element focuses on the realities of a dual-agent mission, highlighting the ways in which Redfield and Alomar must work together to survive the unexpected, while still allowing them to split up and work alone. To help you maximize the potential of this setup, two-player online and offline co-op modes ensure that you have options when picking a partner.
Steel yourself Against the Harsh Reality of Kijuju
An advanced version of Capcom’s proprietary MT Framework game engine brings groundbreaking graphics and effects to Kijuju, the highly-developed environment where this game’s action takes place. New, lifelike lighting schemes highlight the differences between harsh sunlight and extreme darkness, and when you go from one to the other, you’ll have to wait for your character’s eyes to adjust before you can see visibly, adding to the suspense and challenge of navigating this game’s environs.
Face the Next Generation of Evil
You’ll face new enemies with quicker reflexes and improved AI, designed to be as perilous alone as they are in groups and to keep even Resident Evil masters on their toes. Thankfully, they’re not the only ones who have evolved. This game also offers access to powerful new weapons variations that extend your destructive capabilities.
And the updated, quick-brilliant inventory system allows for real-time inventory management, as well as allowing characters to trade items and allowing you to place an item on the directional pad for instant access. Add all this to a detailed storyline the touches on what the past ten years have meant for Redfield and a Hollywood-caliber soundtrack, and it’s clear that the latest installment in this series really does showcase all the elements at the heart of horror gaming.

Im sure the Game is splendid…Its Resident Evil 5.
But why it scored so low for me?
I bought the RE5 bundle Elite with the RE5 game, only to get it Home and have it freeze and not load.
After 3 tries I tried other sports meeting to make sure it wasnt my new 360 and everything else played perfectly.
Looked it up online and this is a major conundrum with this disc.
Many people cannot get the game to load.
Cycle.
I did get my local Game store that sold my 360 to give me a new copy, and if it doesnt work,I can exchange it again.
Bring shame on for Capcom to release this when many people are having this conundrum.

This game is a mockery to the Resident Evil name. It wasn’t even close when you compare this game to Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil Code Veronica. The scare factor just wasn’t there. I found the game shallow, slow, dull and a small racist I mean the Caucasian guys shooting the African American zombies is in my opinion uncalled for on so many levels. at least even it out throw in an equal amount of both races on both sides. I just didn’t get this one is all and I can’t believe how highly everyone has been rating it….. it’s not that excellent….. Let me tell you all that this was the first Resident Evil game I didn’t end, so that is saying a lot.

ok so im not going to go in depth with this review because i have not finished the game…….the graphics are splendid….game play is fun…..its basically RESIDENT EVIL 4 WITH NEXT GEN GRAPHICS AND NEW ENEMYS….. the MAIN REASON WHY I AM WRITING THIS…because some reviewer gave it a low rating because of the CONTROLSS!?!?!??!??! BUT WHY I DONT UNDERSTAND…..PEOPLE DISREGARD THAT BECAUSE YOU CAN CHANGE THE CONTROLS TO RESIDENT EVIL 4 STYLE…..SO IF YOU LIKE THE RESIDENT EVIL 4 CONTROLS YOU CAN SIMPLY CHANGE THEM….AND THERE IS OTHER LAYOUTS….there is not a huge conundrum with the controls…at least not with me…..do it take time to get use to the new controls…YES…..but like with any other game…its a NEXT GEN GAME…WITH NEW MOVEMENTS…AND ACTIONS….so why not add controls for them…do something different for a change in a excellent way…….if all else fails…then use the resident evil 4 controls …thats all you have to do …….anyway i will update my review when i end the game THANK YOU

I was severely disappointed in this Resident Evil, I had bought the game, went back to my room and in the dead of night started to play, hoping for the pop out android-fest that I like from this series. What do I get in return? a day-time thriller that reminds me more of a terrible 80s horror flick than a excellent Resident Evil game.
I returned it after 20 mins of gameplay.

I bought this game first on the PS3. If the PS3 is your only option, that’s fine its a fantastic game (check out my review for the 360 version). As for the differences between the PS3 and Xbox 360 version, the PS3 version suffers a bit to slower loading and drops in frame tariff when using automatic weapons on crowds of enemies for instance. The details are a small sharper, and in dark areas the PS3’s graphics are better than the 360’s. But if you really want to look forward to this game in multi-player get the 360 version. when playing split screen on the PS3 version your inventory is available to the 2nd player. This is excellent if you have everything unlocked and want your partner to utilize your equipment, but if you’re just starting out this will deplete your arsenal too quickly. The 360 version will duplicate treasures and cash, but the PS3 version doesn’t, so you have to divide your goods up to upgrade them. So in closing, for multi-player get the 360 version, if playing solo only, the PS3 version is fine.
