This game is unplayable to those of us who have had lives the past five years, therefore having no time to obsessively master this really pointless game. Not only is it impossible for the normal person, even at beginner level, but it has absolutely no purpose except for extreme pain to its victim. It does not count the calories you’ve burned, it does not tell you the miles you’ve run. AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ABOUT THE MUSIC. Have you ever heard of a song called Passionata? How about Masterwok? Who wants to “dance” to obscure Japanese techno? The only people who I can see enjoying this game are masochists, sadists, or both. I must say that playing this game is like playing Twister with a vague-nearly-there-but-not-quite techno beat. HELLO? Can you say chiropractor? You can presume my bolt from the blue when I was expecting something similar to Dance Dance Revolution to give my niece. She opened up the box, started playing, and nearly threw out her back. And this is a thirteen year ancient girl who had been dancing for seven years. Do we really want to subject people to this? I mean, come on. We could certainly do better than this. I felt so guilty about my niece’s un-merry Christmas that I went right out and bought the RIGHT game, Dance Dance Revolution Extreme. This game throws Pump It Up onto the proverbial floor and stomps it repeatedly – on beat and with splendid music playing in the backround. To sum it up, this game is something akin to Chinese water torture. I will never, and I mean NEVER trust a review on this site again. I’m just trying to warn other people who may make the same mistake I did. Believe me, if I could give you one piece of advice: Either get Dance Dance Revolution or not anything at all. STAY AWAY FROM THIS EXCRUTIATING GAME OF THROWN-OUT BACKS, TWISTED ANKLES, AND PAINFUL MUSIC.

This game is exact, I didn’t have to buy the air climber or any other item to lose weight so is 2 in 1 you lose weight and you have a lot of FUN.

I like like like pump it up. I got into the dancing game thing a few years ago, when I was 23 already, and I started with Pump it Up, when an arcade version happened to be at a hotel I was staying at. I lost several pounds and really got excellent at it, and wanted to get it to play at home. I couldn’t find it so I tried DDR. Really, I don’t like DDR. I don’t like the 4-step pad or the unpleasant songs. I like the songs for pump it up, and I like the 5-step pad. Once I found pump it up on amazon.com I retired my DDR sports meeting and pads.

I first played this game a few months ago at an arcade. After that moment, I searched for this game all over the Internet. This game really is awesome. If you have grown tired of all of the Dance Dance Revolution songs, then this is the game for you. This game has some Latin flavor, some reggae, some hip-hip, some electronica – all of the bases are covered! I give this game 2 thumbs up! After buying this game and playing it it few times, I don’t see myself going back to DDR. It’s hard to find pads for this game, so you may have to buy two sports meeting . . . BUT, it’s worth it!

I was wondering, why isn’t there any home version of the game in Europe?
The only ones you can get are USA/JPN versions, wich can’t be played on the European(PAL) PS2.
Anyone here has the same conundrum?
