The joystick is reliable. Had no problems with it.Simple to change out parts. but if your willing to spend just a small more. Get the MadCatz Street Fighter 4 joystick. It’s more comfortable on the hands. Trust me…

The light above “Turbo” button never turns on for me.
I have no thought if the turbo mode is on or off. And the stick comes with no manual.
Any help?

I like this stick. Its my first and its taking time for me to adjust, but certainly a splendid buy. I too chose the free shipping (on pre-order) and it arrived quicker than I could have expected.
It’s actualy revivied my interest in SFIV. Wasn’t sure about the square gate myself, but as a Astuteness player I like havning the square. Simple to find the low block/charge position I over use.hehehe. At first I though fire balls (i.e. Ryu) would be eerie, but its simple to adjust. I might try removing the gate like someone suggested in another review and see if i like it. The only drawback, a stick is noisier than the control pad. But its way more fun!

This is a splendid stick. Sturdy, open and excellent looking. Buttons are laid out well. If you are a Sanwa joystick parts fan, then this stick is for you.
Please note that the stick has a square gate on it, which I simply cannot get used to.
A square gate means that the joystick has a limited range of movement to within a small square shaped area which, for me, makes it too simple to get stuck in the corners of the square, and hard to go charming circular movements with the stick. This is easily remedied though. Simply unscrew the top (not the bottom) of the unit using a hex screw bit. Carefully lift up the top cover (you can use the joystick as a handle) and locate the underside of the stick assembly. Push the black clips inward to be able to remove of the clear white plastic gate housing. Once removed, use the two protruding tabs on the housing to rotate the small square gate in the middle. It won’t rotate very far before you are able to remove the gate. Remove it and clip the gate housing back onto the black clips until they snap back into place. Screw the unit’s top back on and you’ll notice a huge difference in the joystick’s movement. The “throw” (stick movement space) is now longer and allows much smoother circular movements.
Delight in!
