When using a PSone controller with the Wii this does exactly what it says it does. I did not get the item pictured though, mine is black and also converts to use a PS controller with XBOX… go figure.

This is very excellent it works fine with my non wireless PS2 controller. but when I plug in my wireless controller, it goes in and out, it goes up, down, left, and right all by it self. so I pluged my wireless controller into the PS2 and it works just fine. so I would NOT get this if you plot on buying it for a wireless controller.

This product worked perfectly for me to be able to use my PS2 metal DDR mat with my Wii/Gamecube. I only have tried one game so far, Walk It Out for the Wii[if it doesn't work for any other DDR sports meeting I try, I will come back and edit this review, but if I don't, it'll be because it worked just fine which I reflect it will, I'm not worried after how well it worked today.]
Unlike some of the other reviews, I didn’t find it cumbersome or irritating.
You simply plug it in BEFORE you turn the Wii on and then once the game starts you simply step on and hold START + SELECT + UP arrow TOGETHER for 3 seconds to get it into DDR mode, on my mat this was really unadorned and not a conundrum for me. I don’t mind having to do it every time because it’s worth the extra effort(to me).
For the price is was exact for our needs!

Anyone who wants to play a fighting game or classic-styled game on the GameCube (or GameCube via Wii) will tell you that the GC pad does not cut it. It is a splendid controller, but sometimes you want something without a giant button surrounded by tiny ones. The PS2 to GameCube Converter solves that ailment perfectly. There is no confusion using this device. Just plug and play. The only issue is that the default button layout may not feel right. Most game allow the player to change button settings, so all should be well. Just don’t try to play Zelda with it.

Bought this so I could play “Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes” with a PS2 pad.
Pro: Movement and buttons has no delays.
Con: The L & R buttons (L1, L2, R1, & R2 on the PS2) are a bit tough. They do not always respond properly while using them. So, it’s like a hit or miss.
For example, I’ve tried playing Mario Kart Wii, and the use-item button (which is L2 on the PS2 pad) would not always work when I need it, nor am I allowed to have the item trail behind me (like have it out instead of using the item).
Conclusion: I reflect the converter is splendid minus the L & R buttons (L1, L2, R1, & R2). I read somewhere that the Gamecube L & R buttons has sensitivity, and the PS2 can not emulate that. I say get this if you hardly use the L & R buttons, and I could see why it works splendid for a DDR pad since it’s just UP, DOWN, LEFT, and RIGHT to be used with the game.
