I bought this for use with FFXI, but the PS3 cannot use bluetooth accessories with PS2 emulated sports meeting, making this device worthless for me! Didn’t know this until it was too late. I would really like it if it would work; the design is splendid and seems to be made well, but with this shortcoming, I have no use for it.

It does not work like a real keyboard for the playstation and a small over priced.

I want to give excellent rating for something that I own too, but unfortunately Sony has gone wayyy overpriced for this poorly made keypad. Not only that the buttons are small, the way they added two extra “identical” buttons on the bottom has given me a real PAIN in the @ss !! I keep accidently hitting that square smiley face button and it always bring me to the confidential-message dialogue box during tournament game play. For me, I figure that this thing is not a “NEED” item. I should have spent $49 on the wireless headset instead.
But if you still like this keypad, make sure you use a knife or any sharp tool to ply the stupid “smiley” face button out to avoid interruptions during gameplay.

If you’re used to texting, you’d probably like this tiny small pad, but as for me, it was much too small. In fact it was even smaller than I anticipated. I don’t text, but I’m an brilliant typist, and found out very quickly that I much prefer my excellent ancient-fashioned USB keyboard.

I have had this keypad for just over two months now. I had used it for about 3 or 4 times in the first month or so. Now, I can not pair it with the PS3 anymore. My keypad is fully charged. I followed the pairing instructions to the letter: turn on PS3, turn on keypad, then connect to PS3 using USB cable. All three LEDs kept flashing moderately-at a snail’s pace like they were charging. Hitting a random key made the three LEDs flash furiously for a while like they were trying to pair, then the unit switched to charging mode. Not anything more.
I thought all electronics sold in the US should have a 90-day warranty. I called Sony, and was told to friend Amazon. Amazon was nice enough to offer a return shipping categorize for a partial credit even though they were not obligated to do so. I don’t know how much credit I will get, but anything is better than not anything.
Once bitten, twice shy. I’ll never buy a keypad from Sony again. I’ll look for a full-size BT keyboard now.
