We played a friend’s Rockband 2 game for the Wii, over a year ago, it was ok, but found some of the songs not as kid friendly. So, although they loved playing, I just wasn’t crazy about the song selection. Well Beatles Rockband solved that conundrum. I wasn’t sure if the kids would delight in it as much as I would, but if not anything else I’d have cool instruments for the future. Well, they loved it, especially my 9 year ancient daughter, who thought “beetles” were just yucky/scary bugs. This has been a hit at sleep-overs, especially with the no-fail mode, since the game doesn’t stop in the middle and drop someone who isn’t as “excellent” as the others. We have the PS3 version, mainly because I felt the PS3 console is more durable than the XBOX 360. The Wii version was never a consideration since I knew the graphics and sound would be better on the other 2 systems. But, if I was buying it now, I’d buy the 360 version. The main reason for the 360 over PS3, is that there are no USB adapters to plug into the console. The instruments will sync with the 360, no fuss. Sure they work fine on the PS3, but having 3 USB adapters with red blinking lights isn’t something I’m crazy about. Another benefit of the 360 over the PS3, downloadable make pleased is available sooner (2 days for Abbey Road baby book), again not a huge thing, but would have been nice to know up front when I was deciding on a version to buy. By and large, absolutely no complaints with the game. I highly recommend this to anyone, especially as a first Rock Band stylishness game buy.

Especially for the die hard Beatles Fans. The video, packaging, and imagery are incredible. It’s definatley a excellent gift for the ultimate beatles fan. excellent party game!.

We had a lot of fun with this for about 2 hours and then got bored playing the handful of mainstream Beatles songs that are included on the disk. No conundrum – box says you can get more online – except you can only get more Beatles songs online. The other song sets in the Playstation store DO NOT PLAY on Beatles Rockband.
So we bought the RB2 game and have had fun playing owing to other music in the catalog and it is a blast! Splendid family entertainment, just wish I’d bought RB2 in the first place. The extra for the Violin Bass isn’t worth it since it gets uncomfortable after a small while – my son uses his GH controller most of the time instead.

Being a Beatle Boomer without much musical education, I was excited to find I could play this game by just singing the all so familiar Beatle songs throughout the tale mode (but my when my kids are visiting the instruments get plenty of play also). Even after being a Beatle fan for over 45 years, and traveling throughout England following the Beatles’ footsteps, I have learned new things about the world’s greatest band from the small tidbits offered after unlocking pictures. My only complaint would be not enough songs, but I know they will be available for downloads eventually. Splendid job, Dhani and Friends!

Speaking as a hardcore Beatles fan, playing this game is one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had. The gameplay is much simpler than the other Rock Bands, but the most vital thing is the songs that you play; there simply are no other songs from the 20th century that are as much fun (even if they are less challenging).
As for the bundle, I reflect it was a excellent deal. Paul’s bass is gorgeous.
