I’ve used the Guitar from RedOctane and Activision, and this one is more open in my opinion. As far as I know, this is the ONLY guitar controller for PS3 available today.
As far as the small keys go, My wife tried playing on the huge keys and really struggled. With the small keys, she is mastering Intermediate mode quickly.
I have been playing guitar for 34 years, and I find the performance of the ezJam splendid on Hard and Expert level.

After reading the last review I feel that if you are looking for a Guitar Hero Controller for the PS3 his review is TOTALLY bogus. This is a pretty excellent product I would recommend it if you are in need of a controller that works with your PS3 Guitar Hero III and on your PC for Frets on Fire, It works on Both. The controller is very sturdy, looks splendid and to be honest it’s a bit more open than the Gibson (just my opinion) But of course there are some drawbacks like the whammy bar is not in calibration out of the box, had to set my Video calibration to 7 to have my whammy respond to every tilt and the shipping was a nightmare out of Utah with the terrible weather other than that BUY IT.

I bought this item from the fund. On their website it warns of the non-compatability of this item with Rock Band. I find the response to be better than the “Les Paul” controller sold with the game. I highly recommend this item to anyone with smaller hands. The high fret buttons aid in really shredding those tough parts to bits!

The responsiveness is splendid, way better than the one that comes with the game. the cord is pretty small so have to be close to the tv and it freezes..stops responding so I have to unplug it and replug it. This stinks when you are playing a song and are near the end and that happens. I got it since I have small fingers but the frets are still too large for me. My pinky barely reaches the blue button let alone the orange. I still recommend it though due to the splendid responsiveness and quality.

Not very open for the Star Potential and sometime overly sesitive and will set it off when not wanted… I would not recoment this. Cheaply made odd, non-ergonomic design. But one things is cool the 10 fret neck. save cash buy the stock guitar.
