It was on sale the day I bought it. I installed it and while the image indeed looks sharper and affect more alive (even for 480i, not HD), there is some sort of noise in the social class, especially in dark scenes. It looks splendid but, that noise is very irritating. This might be on the TV (although I cannot see this noise using the standard composite interconnect) or some configuration on the PS3, so I’ll have to buy the cables that Sony sells and see if I have the same conundrum.

I ran into a conundrum with other component cable brands (including the official Sony ones). The 5 cables are all bound together so close to the end that you are only able to spread the video set from the audio set about a foot apart. This would be fine if I were plugging them all into the back of the tv. I needed to plug my audio cables into a box about 2 feet away from the tv.
Judging by the picture, these cables looked like they would work, and they do. The ends separate at least 2 feet and the picture quality looks splendid.
BTW, I used these on an SDTV w/component inputs…just the brighter affect and better sharpness difference over composite makes these worth the price.
It also comes with a regular golden-haired (composite) connection bundled in with the rest for some reason, I’m not sure why, although it might come in handy that you would only need to carry one cable if you took your PS3 somewhere that they didn’t have component inputs.

I received my cable and hooked them up to my ps3 and they work splendid. I haven’t had any problems and would recommend them to anyone.
