This charger works perfectly. My controller is always charged and if not, this will charge it in less than a hour. I like how this looks with the gray clear and black plastic makes it look fancy. The LED’s are extremely bright but thats only minor. The controller cascade right into its spot which only requires me introduction it and not fumbling with the USB wire anymore. I would recommend this to anyone with an PS3. Just so you know, this has the regular small wall adapter like a standard fan does; It doesn’t have a huge outlet like some devices have and takes up multiple outlets.

One star for fun, because I am not the kind of person who likes meeting in front of a gadget and watch it charge its array, but if you are so inclined, this is the device for you!!!
It does what is meant to do, not anything more, it has 2 flaws though, first, there is no on/of switch, the lights are way too bright, and they never go off, so you have to unplug it at night, unless you’re the kind of person that sleeps with a nightlight on.
The second flaw is related, they say on the video that the cord is detachable, so in theory, you could detach the cord and be done with.
Well, I nearly ripped the cord trying to detach it before I found out that in order to detach the cord you have to remove a cover where a square transformer is lodged, and attached to that transformer the cord you in fact detach is.
So, its simpler to pull the plug than detach the cord, which I really don’t see a use for this way.
So 3 stars because it does what is meant to, but could be a lot better.

I was pleased with this product until it suddenly bunged effective after a small less than two months of continuous use.
I’m not sure if I just got a lemon or this failure is indicative of a wider-spread conundrum, but it might be worth considering alternatives if you’re looking to buy a charger for your PS3 controller(s).

Lights indicate when controllers are charged.
Base a small bulky. I use it all the time without a conundrum.
