Under the Hood
The PS3 features IBM’s “Cell” processor and a co-developed Nvidia graphics processor that makes the system able to go two trillion calculations per second. Blu-Ray is the New Way
Sony’s PlayStation 3 sports meeting are encoded onto the Blu-Ray disc media format, which can hold six times as much data as traditional DVDs. This increase in capacity–combined with the awesome potential of its processor and graphics card–promises mind-blowing sports meeting once developers have learned how to fully utilize the new console’s potential. The PS3 will also support CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R formats.
In addition, PlayStation 3 system software update version 2.20 and up includes BD Live support. With this you can now play discs that support Blu-ray Disc Profile 2.0 (BD-LIVE) and you can also connect to the Internet while playing discs that support this format so that you can take additional features. Sensational Controller
New gamers intuitively go the controller while playing, even though that movement has traditionally had no relation to what’s going on in the game. Sony has selected up on this tendency and is using it to bring a new level of control into the PS3. Inside the controller is a high-precision six-axis sensing system that accurately detects fine movements in pitch, roll, and yaw, as well as three dimensions of movement, to control sports meeting. A Slew of New Sports meeting

Calling it “an always on, always connected device,” SCEI’s chief technical officer Masa Chatani said the PS3 would be constantly in touch with a “PlayStation World” network “necessarily based on community, communication commerce, and make pleased.” Technically, the infrastructure is there to make that connection. The PS3 supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T Ethernet, as well as IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless networking protocols.

I reflect sony should be sued for not completing the ps3 before christmas just because they wanted cash because they know that people would buy ps3’s for their kids on Christmas and I have heard that it freezes up and it gets too hot. I haven’t in fact played it but by the looks I reflect it is a small oversized and overpriced and doesn’t even have a rumble pak because they said it would mess the motion sensor but than again the wii has a rumble pak and it isn’t messed up and why I know is because my brother has a wii. So thats why I reflect sony should be sued.

I AM SOO ANGRY RIGHT NOW!!!! it has been nearly 3 weeks already, i went to my account to track my ps3 and called the company and they said it hasnt been shipped!!! WHAT?!?! i am so pissed off right now!!! i could have just went and bought it at best buy and played it once i got home!!!! i cannot believe it!!! i have waited to long!

FIRST I GOT ONE WHEN IT CAME OUT THE FIRST DAY AND I HAVE A WII AND A XBOX 360 ELITE. IN GRAFICS THE XBOX IS MUCH BETTER THAN PLAYSTATION 3 AND IN GAMEPLAY THE WII IS MUCH BETTER THAN PLAYSTATION 3 AND XBOX 360.THE PLAYSTATION 3 IS TOO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS. FROM THE 3 MACHINES FIRST IS XBOX 360 ELITE IS THE BEST SECOND THE WII IS SO MUCH FUN TO PLAY WITH ALL THE FAMILY AND LAST IS THE PLAYSTATION 3 BECAUSE YOU NEED A LOT OF MONEY TO PLAY 1080P YOU NEED A BRAND NEW TV AND SPECIAL CABLES FOR THE PLAYSTATION 3 SO CAN GO IN FULL 1080P AND THE CABLES COST MORE THAN HUNDRED DOLLARS AND THE TV IS LIKE 3,000 IS A LOT OF MONEY. I bought the PS3 only to play movies, The first unit was dead on arrival, the second unit would not mate with the optional dvd remote. I returned the second unit and will now nuy a player only, if I can find one for sale.
