I bought this from a Gaming Store, I thought “wow a wireless controller for PS2?”. Bundled with the game this must be a splendid controller being that most of the buttons are nearly active… sad to say it does not work as I thought it would, the connectivity of the controller to receiver will guide you mad
it states that it would not work near cordless phones, microwaves, wireless routers… etc. guess what thats an average home today, or your neighbor’s
so I highly Do Not recommend wireless controllers unless you live in the middle of nowhere… have to get a wired one now. hope this was helpful
Amazon send this back if you have them in stock

i just wanted to add my own experience about this controller. i got the guitar hero 3 bundle for christmas last year and the controller would not work with my ps2 system because it is one of the grown-up fatter models. so i just use my ancient wired controller that came with the guitar hero 1 bundle. the game itself is splendid by the side of with all the other guitar hero sports meeting but be weary of the wireless controller depending on the ps2 model you might have. my wireless controller just sits in the corner for now and i in fact came on here to see what they sell for lol.

This controller is splendid – have bought a few of them – hey, we play a lot and just plain wear them out! Rock on, music lovers!

i bought this guitar as a replacement for an ancient guitar from guitar hero 2 and as an addition to the wireless guitar i already had from the guitar hero 3 game/guitar combo. i like the freedom of movement and the range the indicate has; its a really splendid regard too!

I was very pleased at first with this controller, despite one of the buttons near the on/off switch breaking and falling into the main cavity as soon as I took out the guitar. Now it rattles. That’s not my main issue, but. In the few weeks I’ve had it, it has already developed a very loud clicking noise on every strum, and its largest conundrum is that no matter what tells it to activate star potential is broken. Instead of tilting my guitar to activate it, it just automatically does it whenever I have enough energy. This is frustrating, because a key part of Guitar Hero is being able to maximize your points using star potential. I tried taking it apart to figure out what was incorrect, but the hex bolts stripped and now the main controller’s innards are locked away forever.
Sorry, Kramer, but 3 strikes and you’re out. I’m online right now to buy a different brand replacement. I do have the white wireless guitar by Activision, and have had no problems with it yet.
