Action RPGAmazon.com Review
Three years ago, gamers were introduced to Aya as she resigned from the New York Police Department and enlisted as a NMC (neo-mitochondrion creature) hunter for the dark government organization M.I.S.T., a secret furnish of monster slayers somewhere between Ghostbusters and Men in Black. Wherever there was a neo-mitochondrion outbreak, Aya and her team were on the scene to place the boots to the mutants. From the outset, it’s evident that SquareSoft revamped the entire game to give gamers a better looking, sounding, and (most importantly) playing experience.
The game starts with Aya training in the furnish’s shooting gallery in Los Angeles. Just as she starts to get in a groove, she is questioned to look into some weird happenings at the Akropolis Tower. When she arrives on the scene, an explosive, full-motion video flashes across the screen and showcases the death and carnage as Aya surveys the scene. Her entry into the Tower is where this RPG starts.
SquareSoft has kept some of the brilliant elements of the weapons systems from the first Parasite Eve title, but went for an entirely new battle system. Combat is delivered in real time and allows players to run, hide, and open fire. Aya can tap into her parasitic powers and can let loose elemental, magic-based attacks on the many foes she encounters. Ammunition is plentiful in the game and there are plenty of entertaining weapons to choose from. Auto targeting and involving puzzles are back, though the arrow-pointing interface for solving these puzzles is really hard to operate.
The cinematic mix of tale and action is very well done, and the copious cutscenes do an brilliant job of moving the pace by the side of in a believable way.
Even though the original Parasite Eve had its problems, SquareSoft has pieced together an brilliant sequel that will satisfy fans of the first game and help make many new ones. –Todd Mowatt
Pros:
- New, real-time battle system is an improvement over first Parasite Eve
- Splendid weapons and plentiful ammunition
- Splendid mix of tale and action

This game is very excellent and the monsters and weapons are cooler than the first one. The first one is slightly better though. Although this game is worth buying, I would insist on getting either Threads of Fate or Legend of Dragoon first. It might even be worth waiting for Chrono Cross.

i just recently buy parasite eve 2 for 20 dallars and i didn’t really like the game the first 20 minute of playing, i say that the cutcsence(movie)was preety awsome,i didn’t play thou the whole game to know the storyline.. and i was surrprised bout the fcs, but i didn’t like it because, to me i reflect it is trying to be like resident evil, and they realy did something with the control’s (character movement) it was hard to control her. (the turning). how the characterlook it’s alright, the text i didn’t like,i mean compare this to the first parasite eve game. it’s a whole lot better than parsite eve 2. wut a dissipate of my 20 dallar’s

PE2 is sort of like FF8 in compareson to the game that preceded it. In my opinion the sports meeting before these 2 (PE & FFVII) are of much better quality mostly in the plot area. Parasite Eve, though small had an extreamly excellent plot that finished in a sort of cliffhanger. Which left you to belive that there was going to be a sequal. Unfortunatly PE2 does not continue PE like part 2 of a 2part episode. It basically takes the main character and a few tid-bits of the early plot and makes up another tale in a way it’s like a remake of the first one. This game is worth buying(unlike ff8).
