I bought this Bible examine set to use with my Palm LifeDrive. It works perfectly on this device. Truly, it is exactly what I wanted.
It should be noted that the NIV Bible – and the other translations in the set – obscure God’s name (YHWH). This makes it simple for mainstream nominal Christians to attribute Jesus as being the almighty God – instead of being simply the only begotten son of the almighty God.
But the translations are otherwise rather excellent – and the tools offered in this software set make it well worth the cash. After all, God is a judge of hearts and intentions rather than the technical errors of man trying to know Him. Jesus preached like of even our enemies rather than legalistic jargon.
It would have been splendid if the set included an interlinear (word for word translation) of both Ancient and New Testaments. That would have been a very splendid addition; but it would have doubled the cost. If such becomes available I will gladly pay the price.

just a remainder ,this only works with pc2002 and pc2003 ,and its not the same laridan software called pocketbible that works with all pocket pc,laridan makes both . AFTER CONTACT LARIDAN SUPPORT THEY SEND ME THE LINKS TO USE WITH MY JORNADA 548 ,ITS WIN CE3.0 ,NOW WORKS GREAT ,I LIKED ESPECIALLY THE NIV STUDY .TKS

bought this as a gift for my dad. He uses it constantly and is always pleased to show it off on his Treo……he is reluctant to upgrade his phone now incase this will not be supported by the newest OS version.

I will try not to do again the information in the other reviews. Installation on my Treo 680 was unadorned, no memory issues so far. I only use the NIV translation, so I cannot speak to the others.
I previously used the large paper version of the Zondervan Examine Bible (ISBN 0310929555 elsewhere on Amazon). The footnotes and cross-references in the Palm version appear to be the same as in the paper version. As noted elsewhere, the Palm version lacks the introductions and sidebars found in the full version. This is a real drawback for me. For example, in Acts stage 9, the paper version contains a nice 1/3rd page sidebar with a map and description of Roman Damascus. This helps clarify where Paul stayed, by the side of with other information. The maps of Jerusalem in the Gospels and of Paul’s missionary journeys are also missing. A number of other ancillary features of the full paper version are also omitted.
But…having a Bible at hand when desired is a tremendous benefit. For me, this outweighs the drawbacks I’ve listed. So, as one’s only examine Bible, this is excellent. In conjunction with the larger paper version for the ancillary material, the two together grant a very excellent combination of portability, availability, and wide-ranging examine information. I wish I’d gotten it years ago.

Having a examine bible on my palm pilot has been very helpful. Whenever I had some down time I always wished I had my bible. Now I do at all times. It is simple to navigate. Takes up a excellent amount of memory so just be prepared, but if you have enough memory on a card in your palm, it works splendid. I have used the memorize help feature a lot as well for memorizing verses. Splendid product!
