At long last, an “official” Sony PS2 wireless controller. Unfortunately, Sony farmed this one out to a third party (Katana), and the result, if disappointing, is not entirely unexpected. Although it has nearly the same look and feel as the regular DualShock, the by and large quality is not akin: within weeks, both the L2 and R2 buttons would jam in place during gameplay; even worse, the circle and “X” buttons also started to stick before I finally exchanged it for another controller. I am now on my THIRD wireless, “Sony” controller and still having the same issues. If you’re plotting to buy a new controller, stick to the DualShock. I’ve had mine for 4 years, and it’s still preferable to the wireless.

The fact that its wireless is splendid, but unfortunately the diagonal management buttons on the d-pad do not work. Therefore if you’re playing a game like Street Fighter which I had intended it for it is impossible to do a “hadoken.” Very dissapointing.

I have been owing to 4 of these now and im not impressed. Out of the 4 we have had 1 that has worked flawlessly the rest of them wont stay linked up if I had it to do over again I would have just place up with the wires.

first i want to point out that this controller is by far better than the well loved logitech.
Some reasons are:
-Pressure sensitivity works unlike the logitech which is nearly impossible to get it right
-size is just right, a small larger than the dualshock 2 but not as bulky as the logitech
-weight is exact,logitech is heavy

3 AAA batteries, but it works for making it less bulky than the competition, so its all excellent

A wireless controller for ps2….sweet. The range on this thing is incredible…i can be smoking on my porch and still have control of the game in the living room…i highly recommend this controller…buy two!!
