This is by far one of Nintendo’s worst accessories. By reading owing to the reviews here you can tell what one of the major problems are: it takes too long and too much effort to assemble the gun, and the sports meeting that utilize it aren’t worth that effort. Once assembled, it feels rather robust, although that small nunchuck cord holder will break for sure. Once you have the gun, forget any notion that you’ll be able to effectively use any of the buttons on the remote other than B. Then comes the play control. Having the remote mounted on top of the light gun gives you MUCH less accuracy than you’d have if you were using just the remote by itself. Aiming and shooting is extremly clumsy, and the sensor bar’s weakness is even more evident here.
Then comes Link’s Crossbow Training. This game is a dissipate of time. It’s overly hard given the clumsiness of the gun, and it seems as though it was thrown together in a release day. It doesn’t even come in a DVD case…just a cheap paper sleeve like Wii Sports. I played the game without the gun, and in fact did much better while still being pleasantly challenged.
Finally, aside from 1 or 2 other sports meeting, there’s no support for this. And like the NES Zapper, I foresee a huge shortage of support for this in the future (that Zapper only had Duck Hunt, Hogan’s Alley and Gumshoe!). Save your cash.

Nintendo Accessories are pretty terrible. It all started with the potential glove back in the day, and hasn’t gone up hill any since.
Nintendo’s secondary controllers and primary controller accessories never really seem to be thought owing to or tested that much. In this case, I was playing Umbrella Chronicles, which sometimes has you press buttons that are on top of the wiimote (such as A) when they flash on screen. If you aren’t quick enough to press the button, then you get hurt or die. It’s a lot harder to quickly press buttons on top of the wiimote when it rests on top of this zapper, and your hand is gripping the handle not more than it.
The link’s crossbow training game that it comes with is fun though.

We didn’t find the game experience improved all that much and we couldn’t get the multi-player mode to work on the Link Target Game.

don’t by this over priced piece of plastic. I bought this over 4 monthes ago and it was [...] It is EXTREMELY HARD TO MOVE. Link’s Cross Bow training isn’t that splendid either. So you just might as well light 20 bucks on fire.
I reccomend [...] for ALL shooting sports meeting. PERFECT SHOT GUN IS CHEAPER TOO.
