The controller did not work and it made our laptop crash. Not worth it. The company was very honest and had excellent customer service though.

Plugged this into my computer and it worked immediately after programming. Response time is splendid, there is no noticeable lag. Only conundrum is that I have to often reprogram it, but this is a unadorned procedure that takes under a minute when it needs to be done.

On the clear side, the action is pretty excellent and it seems to stand up to moderate abuse. I don’t have an original controller to compare it to but it seems to be close to spec.
Unfortunately the directional pad seems pretty temperamental. It keeps registering intermittent “up” when you push left or right. In some sports meeting this isn’t such a huge deal… but the other day I was playing Super Mario Bros 2 and every time I would penetrate a door and try to go away, the erroneous “up” makes me go back owing to the door.
At this point I reflect I’d rather track down one of the original controllers and use a converter.

Life was excellent when Nintendo came out. The world was unadorned and so were Video game graphics and controls. One joystick and two buttons.
Now I can truly play Excite Bike the way it was meant to be played. Yes, the square shape can cause your hand to get sore at times(your body adapts after a few uses), but that makes me feel like I am REALLY playing Nintendo. The buttons are high quality and the joystick is just the way I remember it. I was able to use this on Linux no issues.(not that most people care, but I have 100% abandoned Windows so this was vital to me)

I play sports meeting on the PC now a days and sometimes find, that these sports meeting often have rather awkward controls, or include a key that if you press repeatedly too quick, then you activate the “Sticky Keys” message (in Windows Outlook).
This controller is exact, and I am able to respond a lot quicker in the game, than just using the keyboard and number pad alone.
