I in fact did not believe the critics poor review of this game because they said the same thing about NBA 08 and I really loved that game. NBA 09 The Inside makes a poor attempt at making their game more like the other higher rated basketball sports meeting out there. In doing so, they removed the excellent qualities that set it apart and drew in people like myself who just want to play some fun basketball. I loved the arcade-like features of the 08 game and I thought the graphics were splendid. The Inside took a nose dive with this new version, especially with the graphics. Other reviews speak of the glitches that occur during game play and sadly enough I found this to be very right. About one out of every four sports meeting I play freezes up and there is not anything I can do except restart the game. They did make a franchise mode where you can make your own draft and I like the option to make five custom players that you can upgrade by the side of the way. By and large you are better off with one of the other NBA sports meeting for 09 or I still like the 08 version of this game.

Starting off with the glitches- This game has way too many glitches. One player on your team will stop moving and can remain that way for the whole game, or sometimes he will unfreeze a small sooner, this will usually occur at least every other game you play. You can be on one end of the court and your opponent with the ball can be on the other and all of a sudden you get a reach in foul(with NO ONE in site). Also for example pierce could be on one end of the court and pass it all the way down court with none other than pierce retrieving his own pass, which can take realism out of the game.
Game play- the game play is decent the graphics are really excellent. Getting an help in the game is nearly impossible which will make the life game play hard to win. Even an ally oop won’t count towards an help sometimes.
Franchise- Franchise is a small to plain. It would be nice to set voucher prices and even practice on off sports meeting, which you can’t do in this game.
The life- The life is fun although really small. You must complete missions such as get 4 assists with PG, or get 3 two point jumpers with PG.
There is also a team progression system that will add points to your profile where you can then buy attribute points, sneakers, tattoos, wrist and head bands.
By and large in my opinion the graphics are in 2009 standards but the game could generally be a lot better. Price wise i wouldn’t pay $[...] for it if I could go back. Id say mostly worth $[...] in order for me to buy again.

This game came with a PS3 we bought on a Gold Box deal. I have in person only played the game a few times but my teen boys like it.
