The graphics look like a crappy PS2 game, the gameplay is just plain dull, no two player.. none of this suprises me because Nascar as a sport sucks anyways, people only watch it to see the drivers crash.. but unfortunately, even the crashes in this game suck.. if you want to pick up a excellent racing game, get Dirt, or if your willing to wait, Gran Turismo HD, EA sports meeting these days aren’t cutting it.

I have been waiting for this game for awhile, and it does not disappoint. The graphics are very very nice, and gameplay is excellent too. The controls are realistic, and don’t have to be a master to have fun and compete. But, if you are a fanatic, there are plenty of options and difficulty settings at your disposal.
I’m not sure why other reviewers give it a 2 rating just because there is no 2-player split screen. That is only one small part of the game. And we all know the split screen is over-rated. It’s just not the same as release player mode anyway.
By and large, it is a quality game with several challenges and objectives by the side of the way. I am sure it will keep me entertained for sometime. And I can’t wait for a league to get started online!

Graphics are excellent and i liked the game. But now many new sports meeting have come with much better graphice and better sound quality!

I am a diehard NASCAR fan, but It has been quite a few years since I bought a nascar game. I reflect I was turned of by nascar 2000 (or whenever the first ps2 nascar game was released, because it was terrible). Anyways, I chose to give nascar 2008 a shot to see if it had gotten any better since then. So far I have only done the chase mode, which is a excellent challenge for all skill levels. You can either choose bronze silver or gold level on the license tests, which is excellent. Silver is excellent for a casual gamer, who likes racing sports meeting. Gold is very hard and frustrating.
The other contract races get progressively hard, and eventually impossible once you get to the Car of Tomorrow super-speedway races. You start 39th, and have 25 laps to get to the front. I have wrecked everytime, and you have no choice to turn off the hurt.
The worst part of this game is that you HAVE to guide with the joy stick or the sixaxis controls, both of which are extremely too open and hard to use. Unfortunately you can’t use the d-pad, which is what I have always used to guide races with. Don’t go off the bottom of the track, even by 1 inch, or you will be spinning like a top, with 42 cars bashing you from every angle.
So, in conclusion, if you delight in racing sports meeting, this is a excellent nascar game, and a excellent game for the first release of it on a new game system. But if you don’t like using the joysticks or the SIXAXIS to guide a car, don’t buy it!

I agree with many of the other unenthusiastic reviews and won’t bore you with repeating them. The main reason I’m going to resell this game is that it’s 1 player unless you are playing online! Absolutely no use for a game configured this way.
