When I first ordered this game (4 weeks ago) I was ectastic I could finally play it. It got here today. I popped it in the PS2 and BAM!
‘Please insert a playstation or playstation 2 game’
now, I retried it, and retried it again, not anything happened. Until I read this was a NTSC U/C game made particularly for that type of playstation 2. Mine is PAL. I was very dissapointed, don’t get me incorrect, the gameplay looks fantastic – But people outside North America (EG; Australia) I suggest you don’t get this game. I suggest when ordering sports meeting from this site check your ps2/xbox or no matter what you got to see what make it is before buying the game you want. I was very dissapointed because Amazon didn’t warn me that it was a different region and questioned if I still wanted to order it.
2/5 stars by and large, sorry.

The quality of this game would depend on what you are looking for to start with. The graphics are splendid, and you can play as more than thirty characters in VS mode. Unfortunately, there isn’t much else to do besides fight one on one battles and do tedious missions that usually involve running across the tiny village to speak with one person, and then doing a quick battle that requires no real effort. There isn’t really a storyline besides the contest that Tsunade announces. She questions you to collect a bunch of crystals for points, most of which can be selected up off the ground or achieved by beating the same people over and over again. I finished this part of the game in a couple hours. Then there is the Hero’s History mode, where you are supposed to fight all of the splendid battles up until Sasuke disappears. They in fact skipped over a lot until the chase with Shikamaru’s team. Even then, it’s not all that hard. I was expecting to be slaughtered by Haku alone, and I just kept kicking him until he died!
